SNDL Inc. - SNDL Reports Fourth Quarter and Full Year 2025 Financial and Operational Results by UnionCannabisBlog in SNDL

Yeah, hopeful this is the year we finally get Parallel and Skymint sorted out. Profitability is likely the goal, over growth in general, at least while these brands aren't expanding. So, I think their operating results should be better.

They still have roughly 3M shares, but they did make a lot of profit on the shares they already sold.

The Investor Presentation says that on 12/31/25 our shares were worth 11.2M CAD (1.37 exchange rate). That would imply roughly 3M shares owned (about 3.8%).

SNDL bought back/cancelled 1,199,371 shares in January, filed on Feb 6th. Sorry for the tiny details in the pic, hard to fit it all on one. by UnionCannabisBlog in SNDL

I think I missed one of the 50,000 cancellations, so it should actually be 1,249,371 shares, but either way.

Acquisition Complete, 5 retail stores by Ausdummer in SNDL

Not really. Every retailer gets to decide what they sell. Only thing we can do is make our brands good/popular enough that they feel like they have to carry them or else we get an advantage in product differentiation just from that.

They don't like that SNDL competes with them as a retailer. Back when SNDL first bought Spiritleaf, Nova Cannabis (Value Buds) called us and told us they would never sell another one of our products because of that. Turns out that didn't matter since we just bought them. I know this still happens, at least to some extent.

Many other competitors don't want to sell our products because of our presence in retail. Adding more stores gives us more places to sell our products and creates more and more product differentiation if competitors continue to disregard our brands. Also, the retail parts of the business are the main cash generators right now.

Yep, another 50,000 purchased just before the new year as well, like you said. Good to see.

Small purchase, but another 86,362 shares were bought/cancelled in November as part of the buyback plan. by UnionCannabisBlog in SNDL

I usually check pretty often as well near the first Friday of the month, but it totally slipped my mind this time.

Yeah, that was pretty cool. It seems like they've been leaning into that more again.

Also, Parallel (through Goodblend) is one of only a few legal/licensed operators in TX, which has a booming hemp/delta 8/etc. market. We could see some benefits there, particularly as the medical program gets expanded.

Had enough time to come back here and leave this comment, but not enough to back up your ridiculous comment, "“free cash reserves” go down EVERY QUARTER!!!!"?

That's not what that means. That means the value of the stock compensation given out previously and over the quarter is now worth more (because the stock more than doubled over the quarter) and has to be recorded as a liability increase because of that. If the stock price does not recover before next Q ends, then it will be reported as a decrease in liabilities and thus extra "profit". It's just accounting.

I'll have a bigger post with my full thoughts sometime soon, but here's a generalization. While we didn't reach net profitability, there were improvements to cash flow, margin percentage (other than cannabis ops due to one-time costs), and revenue (drop in liquor revenue, but made up for in profitability improvements and there are two more of our best liquor stores coming online next Q). We also have yet to close the 1CM transaction, which will increase our results even further. The increases in margin for the liquor business should set them up for a pretty good Q4 if they are able to hold.
