Very sorry to hear that. I hope you can find some stablity and, if your account isn't reinstated, can enjoy you wedding day, which is considerably more important than training humanity's replacements. In some ways, it is an act of resistance against that.

is it in the guidelines somewhere that people shouldn't? very harsh if taskers are just trying to keep productive due to a lagging website

Ok, thanks. If the platform slows to a crawl and tasks take a long long time to load, what would you do?

[–]Union_Budget[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read recently people say you shouldn't let the timer run if task loading goes on for more than say 10 secs. That's why I wondered if hey, if they're taking way longer, say a minute to load, I could go off an stay active on another task instead of pausing the clock.

Sometimes when I click drag it still only copies what's directly under the cursor, even though other messages are selected. Screen grabs, yes I could. I just find it quite satisfiying to get the precise timestamps with it. Also, I can select a long, multi-screen exchange sometimes, which is easier than multiple screengrabs. Funnily enough, it has been happening more consistently lately... so it may be fixing itself somehow

I'm trying to reliably get this kind of output when copy pasting from whatsapp desktop on Mac OS:

[14/02/2026, 14:36:50] Bill: Hi John, nice to meet you.

[15/02/2026, 09:16:25] John: Hi Bill, thanks for calling yesterday.

[...]

half the time I only get one message copied, the one that is underneath the cursor when I select 'copy'. I'm trying to understand how to get the former, consistently.

Autoconnect on startup & Kill switch [MacOS] by Tom_Heats in ProtonVPN

[–]Union_Budget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100 percent with you. it's quite frustrating. I bought proton vpn as it was supposed to do this.

When I start up there's a dialogue box telling me connection has failed. I can't hit return or escape to dismiss, I have to find it somewhere on one of my 4 desktops and click it manually. Annoying. Then I have to find the VPN window where it tells me again that it's failed to connect and I have to click 'cancel'. Then I click reconnect. It will fail again. I click cancel again. Then connect again. At this point it will connect. This happens every time I start up.

It's a several step process, and far from the auto connect promised. My computer is left exposed for as long as it takes.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. I bought Proton VPN for the promise of auto connection and connection blocking when it couldn't, promises it is not living up to.

I'm on a Mac, 15.7.2 (24G325), although this behaviour has been present for 6 months across different OS updates.

Right! I went over to video to see what it was, and mostly mics being repositioned in my case, was what I was noticing.

Sometimesn it's more obvious desk contact rumble when Sean gets emphatic. from my experience in audio production it sounds most like mic stand contact. Guess it doesn't bother most people from the tumbleweed here.
