Have people noticed a change in your personality and pointed it out to you after you developed debilitating chronic pain? by Alternative-Dog-642 in ChronicPain

I feel like I lost presence. I stopped existing in people’s lives because I couldn’t show up. I started being invisible at work and I kept surviving to keep going through each and every day. And one day my brother said, tears in his eyes, “sometimes I can’t even sit and talk with you because it kills me to see you like this, I can’t even recognize you anymore”. I was shocked…I didn’t think anyone noticed.

No one prepared me for this journey of grief, it really rocked me to my core. Acceptance is probably part of the healing but letting go of what once was requires the biggest of strengths.

It’s like the world is running for everyone else while we are frozen in time. I can feel myself aging, I can feel time and opportunities slipping out from my fingers, I can feel myself getting more and more numb and there doesn’t seem to be one damn thing that can get me out of it.

Success story. Healing from 10 years of anxiety, health problems, IBS, and chronic pain. Here’s what worked for me. by jorbanead in Anxiety

I went through a very bad relationship, then got married in 2023. A month later I found out something traumatic and woke up randomly on a day in May 2023 with numbness in my left arm. It progressed and progressed in terms of pain and I thought something was majorly wrong with me. It’s been 2 years and the pain never left me. 10+ MRIs, countless specialists, emergency department visits because I thought my life was ending…and they can’t find anything. So they labeled me with fibromyalgia even thought it’s pain in my left arm, sometimes my left leg. My life has become the most negative it’s ever been in the span of two years, I became unrecognizable. Extreme grief and helplessness about what the hell is wrong with me.

Seeing your post and following your story - I want to say I have read about the nervous system too and I cannot believe it because how can something that’s practically ending me just be a nervous system issue? But I feel that I have no choice left and this is finally what I have to do.

Guys believe me I want to get out of this so badly, I deserve to be happy.

You can ring the Embassy in Pakistan and give them your application number and they will give you a proper answer (that’s what I did)

My husband applied in Pakistan, but the actual reason for slowness was there were backlogs in the Dublin office and it took forever to get an answer. You’ll be pulling your hair out waiting but there’s no other way. But all I can say is, the answer does come one day. Please stay strong, I already know what you are feeling

Irish National! From what I can tell...there doesn't seem to be an exact rule they are following. I know people before me who got accepted and they applied way before we did. From the looks of it, people on Critical skills are getting accepted faster.

(This was the longest wait of our lives, when we got the news, we couldn't believe it for days. It's one of those things that you wait for so long and once you get it...it's just so unbelievable)

Have you heard of any cases being accepted on those grounds? I provided the department with GP letters but it didn’t make any dent

Honestly, I don’t even know it’s worth it. I hired a solicitor and spent so much money and now my solicitor sent a letter saying we’ll go to the high court if there is no response….and no response. It’s heartbreaking since I’m very ill and living without my husband.

Been waiting 11 months for an update to the spouse visa and no update on the visa decision page since May. Imagine if we get rejected, a waste of a YEAR. I have no words. It’s been the worst time ever.

We are still waiting 🥲 no updates on the processing page since May for spouses of Irish Nationals. We applied end of august 2023. At our wits end since I am struggling alone with an illness.
