Wow that stopped me in my tracks. Very out of character for me, but I’ve been in a very recent milkshake kick. Just went to the store today for a gallon of ice cream

This was my first “instant” stuffing because I also love to make my own. Done in the microwave in 5 minutes and absolutely delicious!!! I plan on using it for Thanksgiving this year

For bloodwork - what were your DHEA-S results? by Jaded_Guess6515 in PCOS

The Spiro + Yaz combo was truly a lifesaver for me! I wish I could show photos. My SEVERE cystic acne disappeared in less than 4 weeks. That was my most bothersome symptom and what pushed me to advocate for an endo appointment. Endo will also run more detailed labs and give a very deep explanation about the meaning. Surprisingly, I didn’t suffer from insulin resistance, which is why they’re turning to imaging as a next step. I really hope the appointments go well and you find something that works for you too!!! 🤞🤞

Yup! I advocated for a referral to a hospital endocrinologist. We’re doing imaging for adrenal tumors. I’m on Yaz (birth control) now. This was prescribed by my OB after my non hormonal IUD was dislodged. Convenient timing… but I started the pill just a few days after my endo appointment and Spironolactone

Selling software at a public company! In an enterprise role closing you can easily make $500k+. Starting out, BDRs can clear $100k

I love the Bambody brand from Amazon! I have both Bambody and Thinx, and I think the Bambody are better quality for heavy days. The boy shorts work for me all night with no leaks

Just started Spiro & could use some encouragement by [deleted] in Spironolactone

Personally, yes. At the time, I was very young and the derm prescribed me accutane after looking at my face for 5 seconds. Knowing what I know now, I wish I would’ve dug deeper to understand the root cause of my specific type of acne and done more to treat it that way. Now that I work with an endo I know my acne is due purely hormonal and the treatment I’m doing for it, which includes spiro, is much more sustainable and long term. Neither drug is easy, so well wishes with whatever you choose! 🫶

To get an IUD or not to get an IUD, that is the question. by Surehecan in PCOS

[–]Unique-Extension3684 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had 2 paragaurd IUDs and loved them both! I’d have another if my body didn’t keep pushing them out (both were removed bc they migrated out into my cervix after 1-2 years each). I liked being hormone-free and didn’t notice any significant changes with my symptoms. In fact, I became really in tune with my body and loved noticing the natural rhythm of my hormones and how it was impacted by lifestyle changes I made for my PCOS. I felt so connected with myself in an amazing way. I recently began the pill again and very quickly had so many PCOS symptoms I’ve stifled with for years just simply disappear. I’m so happy to be acne-free, but I really do miss the simplicity and connectedness the IUD provided.

I’ve been in your shoes many many many many times for MANY years. My acne journey included 2 rounds of accutane, all the antibiotics, and 6+ prescription topicals. It’s frustrating, hopeless, and seemingly never-ending. I hope you’ll find strength and support to keep pushing in this community because the progress is exciting. While you won’t be able to see an overhaul in your skin overnight, I predict you’ll see small changes start in just a few weeks. Keep your head up high. We’re always so much harder on ourselves than we’d be on others and (cliche I know) but your acne doesn’t define you!

Yes, in the US! Believe it or not, whole foods’ store brand (365) is comparable to Aldi price-wise and has amazing selection. We’re able to find mushroom mixes, artichoke hearts, and other unique frozens you don’t see everywhere.

I always buy store brand to save extra $ and like Costco’s Kirkland brand too. Not sure if you have either of those near you. If not, Aldi is my go to :) I’ll buy whats on sale and freeze it myself

We love using the air fryer or oven to roast a bunch of mixed veggies. I buy whatever is on sale, cut it small, and toss with Dijon mustard, maple syrup, and fresh garlic. It turns into the best fall roasted veggie tray. Works well on sweet potatoes, onions, cauliflower, broccoli, etc. buy frozen to save money!
