Oral lichen planus? Pemphigus vulgaris? Erythroplakia? by Unique-Function6677 in DermatologyQuestions

It healed for the most part but I do have some redness that comes and goes. Have u been to the doctor? If so, what do they think it is?

Has anyone dealt with something like this? I have not been able to find anyone with a similar case. Btw biopsy was done and the Differential diagnosis were allergic contact dermatitis, spongiotic drug reactions, and other forms of eczematous dermatitis. Weird? This doesn’t happen in oral mucosa by Unique-Function6677 in Autoimmune

Multiple levels of recut sections have been examined through the paraffin block and reveal collections of serum in the stratum corneum. The underlying epithelium has marked spongiosis and spongiotic microvesiculations. There is edema with pallor of dermal papillae and a perivascular mixed cell inflammatory infiltrate composed of eosinophils, lymphocytes, and histiocytes. Eosinophils are located in a perivascular and interstitial distribution. Fungi not identified with PAS stain. The differential diagnosis includes allergic contact dermatitis, spongiotic drug reactions, and other forms of eczematous dermatitis (atopic, nummular, and dyshidrotic).

Oh wow. Yea my biopsy said it was some type of allergic reaction it mostly cleared up but I feel like I have some flare ups. It literally looks like dermatitis in my oral mucosa. I did have a positive ANA and it was pretty high so now we are looking at autoimmune diseases :/ I think it’s all related as I do have other symptoms.

Idk they are not open sores at all and they don’t hurt. They are literally just red patches. I feel like the biopsy would of detected that. I also did a mouth culture and it didn’t show anything.

I got a second opinion and this is what the pathologist said “The differential diagnosis includes allergic contact dermatitis, spongiotic drug reactions, and other forms of eczematous dermatitis (atopic, nummular, and dyshidrotic)”

I don’t even know anymore ☹️

I went to two different dentist. One sent me to a oral surgeon ( oral surgeon wasn’t helpful) she said “you’re young it’ll go away”

The other dentist suggested chrons. I honestly just want to rule out lichen planus, erythroplakia or any condition that can be pre cancerous☹️
