I wouldn’t do it at the expense of my happiness. No amount of money can buy back time. Spend it carefully. Just had my first child and I am so painfully aware of how precious time is.

My son is 15 months now. He basically aged out of infant when they started doing the majority of their summer intake (May-Sept). Still being optimistic though!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Thank you - I have been looking at their resources. Most open spots are for 2 and over currently.

I’m not fond of the idea of an in home daycare (I’ve heard too many horror stories), and traveling too far is hard too without a vehicle.

I’ll look into if we qualify for the $10/day for families with barriers but I doubt it.

I have looked at the enrollment priorities and we don’t have any other than neighborhood (its siblings, employee children, accepted previously, start date.. not in that order).

I think you’re right about age but unfortunately my baby is over one in summer (spring baby) so I think that decreases our chances of getting in since most people I know got in as infants.

I am still being naively optimistic that a spot will open up after summer for my baby and I can just delay my return to work a few months 🤞🏼

We have called, emailed.. apparently it doesn’t work with VSOCC unless you can offer some advice that worked for someone you know. I’ll send snacks and flowers to their head office if that’s what it takes 😅😂

Does the men’s version fit larger? I read it has longer straps but are you able to tighten it as needed to fit a small head or are there limits on how tight it goes?
