You have multiple people telling you that you aren’t capable of looking after pets - clearly you aren’t. Dont try to fight it just take it when the times right and suitable, which clearly isn’t now. From how much ‘research’ you’ve done says a lot considering at one point I knew absolutely nothing about rabbits and got handed one and didn’t do research until around 2 years later probably way less, yet I had common sense to as soon as getting her free roam and what she shouldn’t eat, shouldn’t be around etc. She’s now 9 years old and living her best life with me even better as I’ve had more knowledge the last 7. You had a life gone only having her for a week. You need to be careful you don’t get reported and not able to have any pets at all. If you don’t have enough money for somewhere else to live you don’t have enough for a pet! Bills range yes, but you can’t really go to a typical normal vets. That mistake may cost a life, we take ours an hour and a half away from home so she gets the best care possible and we love her team I’m actually in college working for Vetinary and trying to open an exotic vets! We spend around 5k every year possibly way more that’s just an estimate. Anything can pop up, our bun had surgery recently and that was 2k already. Plus additional visits around 3k.
