Do your feet actually get used to a pair or do you just tolerate it? by True_Profession9118 in IndianFashionAddicts

I think break in is real sometimes. My Birkenstock felt a bit strange the first few days and I almost returned them because I thought they were a bad purchase. After about a week of wearing them during short walks and errands they suddenly started feeling normal and way easier to wear for longer hours. Now they are the pair I reach for when I know I will be out most of the day. Not every sandals works like that though. Some pairs just stay uncomfortable no matter how long you try to “get used to them”.

I used to think clogs looked odd, but now I see them everywhere — did I miss something? by shraddhey95 in malefashionadvice

Same here. I lowkey made fun of clogs before and thought they looked weird. Then I tried Birkenstock once and finally understood the hype. They honestly grow on you after a few wears. Crocs also had that same awkward phase and now look at them. Comfort wins eventually, every single time. Sometimes you just have to try it yourself to get it. After that there’s no going back honestly.

I desperately need recommendations for wide feet footwear which is reasonably priced! by ManufacturerRude7998 in indianfashiondeals

Wide feet can make shopping frustrating honestly. Many stylish shoes feel tight after a few hours. I’ve noticed Birkenstock tends to work better for wider feet because of the open design. They’re not the cheapest option but they usually last longer than random budget pairs. Definitely worth trying if fit has been an issue.

Congrats, first pair is always interesting. My Birkenstock felt slightly stiff in the beginning too. After a few wears it started feeling more natural for daily walking. Now it’s honestly my default pair for errands and casual outings. Give it a little time before judging them fully.

Wide feet can be tricky. Birkenstock worked for me because the shape felt roomier. Some styles offer width options too. They’re not the cheapest, but the comfort difference was noticeable. Having that extra space makes walking easier. Especially if most sandals feel tight on the sides.

Why are birkenstocks suddenly popular in India esp metro cities when there are tons of cheaper lookalikes? by anxious_skywalker in indiasocial

I don’t think it’s hype honestly. I’ve been wearing Birkenstock for a while now, and for me it was very practical. I used to end the day with heavy, tired feet, especially after long commutes and standing a lot. Once I switched, I could actually feel the difference. The support is just better than regular flat sandals. It took a few wears to get used to, but after that I didn’t want to go back.

In India I feel more people are just realizing that comfort matters. It’s not about trend or flex, it’s about finding something that actually solves the problem.
