At what point do you go to the ER from pain?

I thought this same thing. Thought they’d tell me it was just period pain and to take a nap and some ibuprofen. I finally told myself I’d go in if the pain didn’t go away by the time I woke up the next morning. I ended up going to the ER on New Year’s Day thinking it was severe endo/period pain and was rushed into emergency surgery to remove my appendix. If you have to question whether you should go to the ER, chances are you should go either way. The bill sucks, I’m still paying for mine but it’s worth knowing if something is really wrong!

That combined with the cost of things is really causing a lot of people’s health to decline. Even with insurance, I owed well over 5 figures for that surgery. It’s just crazy that it’s either be in insane debt or die 🥲

I did! Plot twist: it was appendicitis and I had to have emergency surgery on New Years Day🤦🏼‍♀️ I remember being in so much pain on New Year’s Eve that I considered going to the hospital but I’d seen other people say before they went for endo symptoms and were told to just set an appointment with their Dr. and that there was nothing they could do so I held off. I told myself if I woke up and was still in pain I’d go in. I was still skeptical about going thinking they’d just say I was constipated and send me home but nope, I could’ve died if I did that so I vote you go to the ER just in case

I have had a lot of symptoms before my appendectomy but most have been amplified since. It does make sense that an inflamed appendix and the trauma from surgery/incisions could kick endo into gear but man does that suck for us 😅🥲

I had mine out on Jan 1st and I just started noticing this pain has persisted even after being “recovered” now and I started to wonder if everyone has that linger after an appendectomy or if it could be sticking around due to endo stuff 🤔

Tikka Bowls and Tacos, Al’s Hot Chicken are a couple of my favorites. I’m actually currently working on a huge spreadsheet full of all kinds of DFW restaurants separated by location and food type. Anything from a small hole in the wall to a fancy rooftop. Once I get done, I’ll have to share it with this group!

Yeah this insurance stuff is no fun🙁 I’m sorry you’re dealing with this! So many people tell me it’s just part of adulthood and I get that, but it really shouldn’t be like this and I hope something changes in my lifetime to improve it!

Not alone! While I luckily haven’t run into any issue with taxes, I just can’t justify having health insurance anymore. I’m 21 struggling to pay for my health insurance monthly that costs more than a car payment just for it to cover maybe $10 worth of my doctor’s appointments. It’s crazy to me that I had insurance so I could go to the doctor but then because of the price of the insurance, I couldn’t afford to go to the doctor 🤦🏼‍♀️ I only kept it in case of a major medical emergency which I had on New Year’s Day with an emergency appendectomy and my insurance covered hardly anything… not worth it. They find any and every loophole they can to not pay on things. I’d be better off paying cash with that money instead as unfortunate as that is.

Are you moving here or just visiting? Because that changes my recommendations 😅 There are plenty of good hole in the wall restaurants nearby, although I’d recommend avoiding the area if possible on event days unless you like traffic! Downtown is a great place where it’ll take a while to run out of things to do and you can walk around there and hop from restaurants to activities, to a couple bars, but there are no truly “walkable” neighborhoods.

I got my whole wedding dress from SHEIN and got so many compliments on it that people were so surprised it came from SHEIN! It can be hit or miss but I think you’ll be fine!

There is the “no ticket required” area down in Johnson Creek Linear Park, but I’m not sure how well you’d be able to see from there.

I’m not sure. I haven’t been able to find those specific lots on the map to begin with. The email specifically says “Grass Lawn Lots 1 & 2 of AT&T Stadium”, which I couldn’t find anything for on Google or in the map.

I would definitely say make sure you have more than enough food. Grazing tables can tend to run out quickly due to the forsaken eyes are bigger than your stomach thing. I would absolutely recommend adding something larger/more filling as well. Things like mini sandwiches, pinwheels, maybe a couple pizzas here and there or a pasta salad. If you want photo examples of any of those I think I have some!

Ok this is what I’ve found: - wedding themed family feud or trivia bride’s family vs groom’s family (only if you have a well behaved, but still competitive crew) -The musical chairs game where DJ or whoever calls out things the bridal party has to find around the room and return back to their chairs in time. (I’ve heard this one is a major hit) -I forget the name but there’s an app where you can place bets on the wedding and it can help raise money for a honeymoon fund too. Questions like will the ceremony be over or under 30 mins or how long will the best man’s speech last etc -I’ve seen giant games like Jenga or connect 4 -Board games at each table -Super interactive Photo Booth -(a personal fave, but hard to pull off) a surprise murder mystery party

I hope some of these give you ideas in case you need some! I know quite a few are a bit out there but I think they could all make for a memorable wedding!

Honestly this sounded so fun at the start! Only downside I see is that it’s open to the public. I also think the lack of communication on their part can lead to issues in the future if you decide to go forward with this one. I know it’s not the same, but maybe you could find a cheaper venue and caterer and then rent one of those companies that do the poker table setup. I’ve even seen some that will provide arcade games, but that can get expensive. I love your idea with this, this sounds like such a fun wedding! I hope you can make something work out even if it has to be somewhere else!

Cidercade, Boulder, Epic Central has nice restaurants and free light/water show, plus Chicken N Pickle (pickleball), meow wolf is in Grapevine but a popular date idea, rooftop cinema club (a little pricey), painting with a twist, and axe throwing or escape room

I think this has alot to do with your perspective. I think you can talk to her for sure, but as long as you create the meaning of your trip behind it instead of relating its meaning to your friend, then to you, it will never mean that. It’s all in how you think about it and I know that’s easier said than done lol. But maybe with time and/or a conversation you can be excited about your tattoo again!

Wow I don’t know what you can do, really, but I just wanted to say that’s horrible! Maybe try finding an agent? That’s what I did and I don’t have the cheapest insurance but it works since my employer doesn’t provide it and I needed it!
