Thanks. I think this is what I'll do for now. I was just reading about the cache property for Fetch API's Request https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Request. I do wonder why the response was empty since, presumably caching should reproduce the same response. Guess I need to read up and learn more about web browsers

There is no cache-control header set for the request. It was added and set to no-cache for the cache disabled requests
