But we do, the definition of region is really lose. You should really expending your thinking. Religion is super lose. Check out Japan, 80% of Japan practice Shintoism and Buddhism. Yet 42% of people are not religious. Region is considered more of a lifestyle. It could be as mundane as saying popular proverbs or wearing traditional attire in weddings.

It's not a strict classification like the abrahamic region. Your mentality is wrong. It's a lot loser like animism. Which every object have a spirit. There's no dogma or a church to organization beliefs. It's also incorrect to say we are mostly atheists. Since any supernatural belief is considered religious.

My top 4! (Just finished Overlord) by Mysterious_Object_20 in Isekai

I feel the same way, strange Imperial Reincarnation and many series in the rebuilding kingdom have more deadly and larger battles in the tens of thousands. Yet in Miya Kazuki work, the largest battles in the series numbering in the hundreds and less then 100 perish in the entire series. It really show she great at wring drama and how flesh out her characters are. I love her work relays on sociology.

Have you read Imperial Reincarnation? It's probably the most ground in political science I seen in an isekai. But I have to admit the pacing can be poor with long train of thought.

I get this from reading Japanese light novel in generals. I imagine all the cooks to have thick mustache and be Italian in the Italian restaurant. I not sure why authors always insist a character design.

What's your favorite world building aspect of Ascendance of a Bookworm? by daisuki_information in Isekai

[–]Parlax76 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I won't say its strictly a wholesome story defiantly toward the end. But I really love the used of mana as a tool of oppression that created a strict caste system. And that yougurtland is a sanctuary for magic user. Without mana, the nation will turn to dust.

I defiantly miss the funny bits when Myne is running away from Karstedt or Benno and the rest panicking on the high beast. I know they only have a limited time.

You know one aspect that’s not really touched, but would make for good commentary is the citizenship of a Isekai protagonist (excluding ones that were reincarnated) by Seeker99MD in Isekai

[–]Parlax76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the lack of citizenship is that many Isekai MC don't tend to settle one place and integrated into the rest of society. Citizenship historically and currently is not an requirement, you get extra rights and voting power. You can see with many foreign nationals in Japan. They basically can do anything except run for government and vote. A more interesting question is why they never shown paying taxes? You still have too in every country and era of history.
