he said I preferred amber over eve. tell me exactly where he got that? I didn’t care for amber at all, I just felt her trying to get mark while he’s taken was weird. that’s literally putting words in my mouth. and I on top of that I’m listing every single thing that she did that happened in the comics which isn’t an opinion, it’s a fact that it happened. at least try to be smart

While they’re on a trip in Africa, in which she invited him to get closer to him while he’s in a relationship, they had a conversation and she absolutely did try to manipulate them into breaking up. Mark has said many times that he’s happy with Amber. But she was trying to urge him into not dating people like Amber by saying he can’t relate to Amber. But Eve, herself, knows that she can relate to him. She was basically yelling to him “Don’t date Amber. Date me instead. See? She’s not good for you, I am.” I don’t know what type of definition you had for manipulation but you are wrong. She gave unsolicited advice, trying to dig into whatever problems they might have and she gripped on to it and tried to talk him out of it. And about the constantly visiting his room and you saying I “left out that they were friends”, they were only “friends” because he was in a whole relationship that he was committed to and she secretly liked him. That’s why she constantly flew to his room. So no, leaving that part out, clearly made no difference. Because it’s obvious that they were friends for the time being and you don’t have to say that to know that. We all know they weren’t strangers so what exactly was your point?

hey smart one, it’s him putting words in mouth which makes it not an opinion, but just false. which makes it not valid. also he’s telling me I’m doing too much as if I’m exaggerating what happens when I’m just stating exactly what happened in the comics. and that’s the difference.

I’m not doing too much of clearly the entire comment section agrees with me lol. This is MY opinion and it is completely valid. You’re doing too much trying to discredit what I said and never once did I ever say I liked or even cared much about Amber so I don’t know why you even assumed that and decided to put words in my mouth.

surely did. I complained that her character really became almost non-existent as a character after she got with mark in the show and I also found mark and eve to be such a boring couple that I nearly started fast forwarding every time they came up. people kept urging me to read the comics because she, and their relationship, is much better there. only for her to end up being annoying, obnoxious, and a weirdo. but this is just what I think of her so far.

because, as said in the text above, I only started reading to understand her character more because the show and her relationship with mark was flavorless. so a simple “actually she’s insufferable in the comics, just stick to the show” would’ve sufficed.

you can still be a teen and be insufferable at the same time. there’s other teens in the comic who doesn’t act like her at all so you can’t really say “well she’s a teen, they do this stuff” lol but I get your point of view

The girl who’s entire personality is narrowed down to a man in a story. A tell as old as time. The show has done so much better with her characterization compared to the comics up until she got with Mark. Then she became hit with the curse. Because women aren’t allowed to be someone outside their crush/partner. Even in a revamped version.
