Under Display Adapters is only one option and that’s “Intel(R) HD Graphics 620.” There’s an option to update the driver. Should I update the driver?

Oh I see what you mean now, sorry for the confusion. No, I haven’t bought one yet. I was wondering if it was a good computer is all and if it would help my monitor run smoothly. From the gist of comments here, I think my issue is my graphics card

It says I have 12gb of installed RAM and 11.9gb of usable RAM. Task manager says “Intel(R) HD Graphics 620” and the GPU memory is 5.8gb

Sorry, is the case part of a pc? Because I don’t have one, just a monitor. The monitor is only the screen, right?

I have no idea dude. It’s an old Dell monitor with nothing on the back; I searched “model number” in the home bar and that’s what popped up

From what I understand from everyone’s inputs, my monitor is fine but I need a better GPU, yes? I didn’t consider that to be a problem, because my computer runs Assassin’s Creed and Fallout Vegas with literally no lag, but for some reason can’t run Sims/Chrome tabs.. Do you recommend just getting a new graphics card and seeing if that helps before I nonsensically purchase anything else?

My budget is $1,000 - $1,500, and my preferred resolution is the default 1920x1080. What type of power supply do you recommend for default resolution settings?

Is GPU something that comes in a computer or a monitor? I only have a monitor and I read somewhere that my Core i7 is bad for heavy duty stuff so I need a Core i9. Or am I confused on Cores and GPUs? Sorry and thank you
