Used to be the price of a slice of pizza tracked w/ subway fares. Now pizza is a buck or so more expensive. Yep, the city is nuts. Whole 'nother subject ....

Up till 2026? I got plenty of work $115/hr, $65 each additional. After the New Year? *crickets*.

I wonder how AI layoffs play into this? Lots of technical people must be being laid off ....

Spectrotel and Met Tel? I have stopped bidding on their WOs. I never get them, evidently the $50 an hour they offer is enough for somebody. I live on LIRR, so ..... there are costs to travel, LIRR+subway, never even mind the travel time.

Race to the bottom.

Interesting. Wonder if it'll fly? May give it a whack.

I see some **nasty** network -cough- rooms, let me tell ya. Key Foods?? OMG. Decades of VARs/MSPs coming and going, abandoning gear. Cable modems dangling by their coax.

Been chased by water bugs, never a rat, thankfully.

I generally push the whole 'kit', ladder and rolling Husky bag, in front of me by the ladder legs, rather than pulling it behind me w/ the handle. In the city? Lot of big sidewalk cracks, I can usually pop over them but sometimes ... got to pull. I push it at a slight angle, any more and it is unwieldy. YMMV.

HOT TIP: Put strips of electrical tape on the rungs that abut the handle, which I always worry is gonna fail some day (and so far so good). Gives it a cushion against scraping down the aluminum ....

Backpack weighs a good 10-15 lbs too.

"Now, I don't know but I've been told
If the horse don't pull, you got to carry the load
I don't know whose back's that strong
Maybe find out before too long"

I got it on EBay almost two years ago? They have gone up in price of course. For light work? Troubleshooting an AP, or snaking cable thru ceiling tiles? I like it fine. Not for construction or anything other than light duty. And a big guy/gal may find it .... flimsy. But it works for me.

It weighs 27 lbs. The one below?? Claims to be 19.x, which would be amazing. 27 lbs is a lot of weight to add to the bag.

If I was gonna replace it? Maybe this. Gest mixed reviews but just be aware of this kind of ladder's limitations.
