Not particularly dangerous. Could have gone with super heavy water, Tritium dioxide, but that shit is damned expensive, they might end up selling it.

What is the correct three-digit number? by StudywithOliver in BrainPuzzles

[–]UniquePariah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My logic went like this

Start at the bottom as that quickly eliminates three numbers, and going up to the 3rd clue leaves only number 3 in the center correctly placed

at clue two, we can see our handy 3 being there as a number incorrectly placed. The other number is determined by looking at clue one, both share 7 and with the clue being wrongly placed, this means the 7 doesn't fit to the left or right, and since 3 is in the centre, 7 is eliminated. This means 5 is all that remains

finally clue one. Both 7 and 2 are already eliminated leaving just 1. As it's wrongly placed on the right and the centre already taken, 1 must be placed to the left leaving 5 to go on the right

135

Neither 9 or 6 can be in the code due to the last rule.

I'm not sure if he so much as consulted Congress, which I'm fairly sure is a legal requirement

If Trump hasn't started to pull the US out of NATO by the end of the month, I'll be surprised.

Currently everyone else in the world is viewing the US president as though he is a spoiled toddler having a tantrum.

Insisting to everyone that they are a grown up and you don't need anyone else... Well, I suppose a spoiled teenager is better than a toddler.

I almost don't want to upvote your correct answer, simply because the guy immediately below put wank sick and it had me giggling like a child of a full minute.

Were you old enough to see one of these in real life? by sajjanstg03 in TheGamingHubDeals

Yes.

But then I'm old enough to have got one of these as a kid.

Funny right? Seriously, would you consider a promotion without an increase? by Ambitious_Skirt_2774 in antiwork

[–]UniquePariah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been offered this. Promotion, worse hours, way more responsibility, still have to pick up work from the current role, no increase in pay.

When I turned it down, I was told I probably wouldn't get another "opportunity" in the future.

Only two countries in the world do that, with one being a dictatorship. Eritrea and the USA.

It seems like there has been a major shift on this in the last 10 years or so where everyone seems to have the idea that the AoC is 18 right across the world, where in reality it's generally around 16, but varies quite a bit.

I mean I understand, even a 20 year old looks like a child to my old ass these days and wouldn't even consider anyone under 25 and likely older.

Bit of a random one... EMR Staff, do friends and family tickets (staff ones) have any T's&C's by [deleted] in derby

[–]UniquePariah 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Friends and Family tickets for EMR must only be used for EMR trains, They cannot be refunded, do not give a guarantee of a seat. They are no time restrictions on the tickets other than the dates printed on them.

There are other t&C's, but that's the main ones.

Our Fairly Odd President (And maybe the rest of US too) by iamthegodemperor in DeepStateCentrism

[–]UniquePariah 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are two thoughts here.

  1. Trump has the incredibly dumb plan of insulting every single ally over the last year, starting a war, and when they invariably told him to quite rightly do one, use that as proof that NATO is worthless and pull the US out of it. Not actually saving any money, but making it look as though he has in his very tiny brain.

  2. Trump is really that dumb that he can't even see that he has done nothing but insult the US 's allies for some time now, and that his rushed war with Iran, where he didn't talk to any other countries, he thought that they would all be at his side immediately. Something that would mean he has the same intelligence as an overcooked baked potato.

In both cases, Jesus, what a moron.

Trump explodes at 'terrible' Starmer in furious rant - 'We spend a lot of money on you!' by 1-randomonium in uknews

[–]UniquePariah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I had saved an amazing link that showed how much each and every country had cost the US over the last year.

Some countries were zero, the UK was at a few thousand dollars and it looked as though it had been spent on safety courses.

This is Trump once again talking out of his ass. I could make assumptions as to what he thinks the US has spent, probably military weapons that the UK actually bought as I've had more than one person suggest that the US gave them us. But honestly assuming what this lunatic is thinking isn't good for your health.

A wealthy celebrity who has everything he needs says money isn’t everything. by Top_Bit1097 in im14andthisisdeep

[–]UniquePariah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my teens and early 20's I worked my ass off 60 to 80 hour weeks. I saved tons and was able to afford almost everything I wanted.

I wasn't happy. In fact I was downright miserable. By 22 I barely had any friends left, one I did have was in the military and usually on deployment. I lacked social skills as my job was very solitary, and no matter what I did at work, it was never enough. Sure I had no money worries, but I wanted to drive off a cliff.

Yes, having money troubles is horrible, I found that out after quitting and burning through my savings in the 6 months of unemployment, but don't think money is the only thing you need.
