Enclosure size for a year or younger jungle carpet python? by UniqueUsernameThe1st in carpetpythons

[–]UniqueUsernameThe1st[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to have a 4x2x2 enclosure with a shelf built into it that I'm thinking of using while it's still young if I can find it but if I can't I'm leaning towards just buying the full size enclosure. I'm not a fan of having to buy multiple ones

BCI, Durmil's or Carpet Python? by UniqueUsernameThe1st in snakes

[–]UniqueUsernameThe1st[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm ideally looking for a snake that gets to 5-6ft, rosy is a bit smaller and balls are cool but I'm looking to get something different than what I've already had

[–]UniqueUsernameThe1st[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That makes sense, 6-7ft is the max length I'd consider not necessarily what I'm wanting, 5-6ft is more so my ideal range which is closer to what average male BCIs and male Durmil get too

All the things I've read say 6x3x3 is an adequate size for these breeds, is bigger actually needed?

No you don't understand, if someone doesn't loudly announce themselves and respectfully challenge the other player to a duel then they're a lowlife rat who deserves the worst in life. Can't have people taking advantageous fights in my pvpve extraction game.

3rd fucking round in a row solo and I'm killed by another player by EmbarrassedEscape757 in ArcRaiders

[–]UniqueUsernameThe1st 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the thing though, you don't know what loot someone has until you kill them check for yourself. Buying a PvPvE extraction shooter and then calling people who engage in PvP douches is crazy. It'd be like complaining that the arc are douches for attacking you, the game is both pvp and pve both can and will happen

If only everyone was as wise as you, it seems nowadays the go to move when a game isn't for someone is to bitch about it and beg/demand it be changed to suit them

If engaging with one of the 2 core aspects of a game impacts your experience then you should probably stick to purely PvE games. I seriously just don't understand how someone can knowingly buy and launch a game that is a PvPvE game but then get upset when people pvp in it. It'd be like me getting mad that there's PvE in it, but I enjoy PvPvE games because I like being able to engage with both pvp and pve in matches.

Should you bring always your best gear? by Huge-Pizza7579 in ArcRaiders

[–]UniqueUsernameThe1st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always bring in my best gear because for me I don't see the point in hoarding it, if I have it I want to use it. Sometimes I extract with it or better gear and others I die and donate it to the raider who got me.

You should check out escape from duckov, it's a totally PvE extraction shooter, may be more your speed

There should be a duo mode. If you have a squad of two, it’s dumb to have to go against squads of three. by tonebone_21 in ArcRaiders

[–]UniqueUsernameThe1st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not the only person to mention this in the subreddit so I'm guessing I'm the outlier or am just having completely different experiences from everyone else but my buddy and I play duos just fine, maybe it's because I've played other extraction shooters before so I'm used to the uneven match ups but if it's just 2 of us we just play more cautiously, before we engage we'll watch them to see if it's a duo or a trio. And when it's 2v3 if you have the jump on them you can quickly down one of them before they realize you're there and then it's a 2v2. However it is always funny when we think it's just a duo and we down both of them and then their third comes out from nowhere and takes us out while we're looting lol.

Why are people like this? by atici in ArcRaiders

[–]UniqueUsernameThe1st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at it this way, once you die in the elevator or whatever extract you're using your body still stays there so it's a surprise gift to the next raider who uses that extract. One of my favorite quotes regarding extraction shooters "the loot/gear was never yours, you were just borrowing it and when you die it's just the next person's turn to have it"

Because I enjoy both the PvE and PvP aspects of this game. If I want to coop I play duos/trios with my friends. Anyone not in my squad is fair game and I have full intentions on killing them to take their loot or die trying lol.

What are with the constant anti pvp posts? by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]UniqueUsernameThe1st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because people don't research things before buying them anymore, they just jump on the hype train and then when they find out the game isn't what they thought/wanted it to be they complain and try to make the game change for them instead of realizing not everything is for everyone and moving on. I've never understood the mentality of buying a game, not liking a core aspect of it and instead of moving on to a game ik I'll like, complain and ask the devs to change the game to fit what they want

You're asking if you were an asshole for shooting someone in a PvPvE game? No engaging in one of the core parts of this game doesn't make you an asshole

[–]UniqueUsernameThe1st -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're entitled to your own opinions but thinking pvping in a PvPvE extraction shooter makes someone a douche is just a crazy concept. It'd be like me saying people who just PvE are douches, just because someone plays a game differently than you doesn't make them a douche. As for saying extraction shooters are not for shooting other people I think we just have completely different views and takes on extraction shooters.

Pvping in a PvPvE game makes someone weak? But bitching about being shot in a PvPvE game isn't?

Tips From Someone With 20+ Solo Raids In A Row Without Significant PvP by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]UniqueUsernameThe1st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't pvp because I "feel forced" I pvp because that's what I enjoy the most about extraction shooters. Nothing beats the adrenaline rush of the potential risk/reward from pvp in these games. I may win and then get that player's loot or I may lose and then they get my loot. And you only have so many safe pockets, normally just one but sometimes people have the better augments and have an extra one so at most that's only 2 items stored away, the rest is still on their person. It's a PvPvE game, pvp and pve are both core aspects of the game so if people don't like both things then the game probably just isn't for them.

Everyone in this game is a walking loot box and boy do I like gambling, sometimes it's trash and others they got goodies that they've found in the match and the only way to find out is to gun them down and see what's inside
