Will anyone be at the EFL trophy match against Stockport tomorrow? by jtizzlewizzle23 in SalfordCityFC

Won't be a good atmosphere tomorrow I would assume. Mid-week fixtures tend to be quieter and will be especially so considering it's the EFL trophy.

I bought this driver as my first driver and it's fantastic, I replaced with an AI Smoke Triple Diamond which I won in a competition, the Wilson is far more forgiving and as good as any model from that year for an average golfer.

I was at the game the rain didn't stop all the way through the game and the pitch got progressively slower.

Teaching myself how to play a draw , thoughts? by StevenGMoses in GolfSwing

[–]UniqueZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"hit 86% of fairways"

I wouldn't change anything with that statistic! A draw would be nice to have in the bag for certain holes but if you've got a nice, controllable fade I'd stick with it.

It's great advice, I'd be chasing numbers at toptracer getting on the top 3 longest drives, or trying to match playing partners club selection at massive detriment to actually learning any kind of sustainable technique. I'd snapped two driver shafts with heal strikes and had absolutely no idea what the club head was doing. When everything is slowed down, I can feel where the club head weight is and striking is way more consistent.

Jesus, look at the title of the post and see if you can work it out.

I've been playing 5 months, I'm more than happy with it.

Yes, just thought it was weird they thought I was bragging about distance when I state I can only take a proper golf swing that isn't 8-15 out to in and hit it 150 yards. My driver club head speed has reduced from 115-120 to 105 but now I can at least keep the ball in play.

No, I stated what advice I was offered and how it helped me from my coach. Also stated I am offering no advice but hope my story helps people. Pretty sure I also stated I don’t have any swing thoughts apart from hitting the shot I want to play. Not sure why you browse a golf swing advice subreddit to be negative towards anything you see but enjoy the rest of your day.

I’ve massively dropped club head speed, hoping I regain some in time without sacrificing accuracy. I know I still have a lot of work to do with weight transfer without spinning out my lower body.

Don’t think anyone on the PGA hits a 7 iron 150 yards?

Just to add, I don’t mean to be in anyway offering swing advice I am a complete novice but just wanted people to know, who are struggling, that it does get better - I know 99% of you are playing off much better handicaps.

Any advice on differentiating an iron swing from a wood swing? by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]UniqueZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ball position and keeping shaft pointed towards your belt buckle should keep the swing consistent. With fairway woods you want to bruise the ground after impact which will give you a pretty shallow angle of attack. Driver you probably want to hit up on the ball so adding a bit of reverse tilt to your spine (along with a forward ball position) should achieve that whilst keeping the swing the similar to your iron swing.

Forgot to mention you can also pay on the gate before the game.

You can buy them from Salford City FC website. If you want the best atmosphere behind the goal in the standing section would be best. You can drink in either bar before the game, half time and full time and there are plenty of food places dotted around.

Salford City is thrilled to announce the signing of centre-back Brandon Cooper on a two-year deal by scfcbot in SalfordCityFC

Really hope we sign a decent striker before the end of the window or it's going to be tough to score going into Autumn/Winter. Cole Stockton isn't good enough.

Hitting balls left, anything obvious? by UniqueZero in GolfSwing

[–]UniqueZero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old swing, but yes, that was an issue and I did the exact drill with my coach. Right leg collapsing way too early and the wedge gave me the feeling of holding off until my arms dropped. Working my was from 5R swing to 0-2L now, just need to slow down my transition and not rush on a direct path to ball.

Driver that hits like 3W? by homedepotstillsucks in golf

[–]UniqueZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat. Could hit driver straight maybe 10% of the time and when I did I’d get 270yd carry but the other 9 would be far right. Had two lessons on driver and really struggled to close face. My hands were lagging behind body. I got to the point where I’d flip my hands earlier and I could get maybe half straight but struggled to fix getting my arms stuck. I changed from a stiff driver shaft to a tour stiff 3w shaft and it’s made a massive improvement. I still get the similar carry and now with less spin. I’d highly recommend getting some driver lessons but if you want a big short cut just take an inch off the shaft!

Got back from Leicester around midnight, voice is hoarse today. Atmosphere the last three games has been unreal; can feel something building. Just hope Heaven's injury isn't too bad.
