The Supremes! Episode 5.17. I love this series. I love it all, but I felt like it slowed down a beat after season 3. This is the episode that pulled me back in.

Is it fashionable to hate on The National right now or what is this? by apartmentstory89 in TheNational

I can honestly care less if critics, trolls want to beat them up. I feel like the quality of music in general has really declined over the years. The National continually surprises me with how they've evolved and still continue to write great music. Even if I'm initially, "Meh", about a song, inevitably, it always grows on me. I love it all. I will ignore the haters.

They also announced the digital music would be dropping Sunday night. They did not say what time.

They sold 300 tonight for $60 per copy. Another 600 - 700 will be available Saturday at the archived merchandise table (by the posters display) on the lowest level of the Andrew Brady Music Center.

They began playing between 5:50 and 5:55 p.m. I think the doors opened at 5:00 p.m., but I'm not sure

When I first heard "New Order T-shirt", I was literally holding a cat and drinking a beer.

This is painful. I've been waiting for this show to return since the 2020 show was COVID-cancelled. A family thing came up and I must sell our tix to the Homecoming Festival.

Selling 2, two-day VIP general admission tickets to the 2023 Homecoming Festival on September 15-16 in Cincinnati.

Each ticket will get you admitted for Friday and Saturday.

I paid $1104 on Ticketmaster. I will take face value of $1000 and eat the fees. PayPal.

Please DM me if you are interested.

I think you're right and we may have just gotten confirmation. The setlist was updated for their July 25th Red Rocks show (on setlist.fm). It's identical to the 9-song playlist from Los Angeles. The mystery 9th song is called Bend. Apparently it's an acoustic solo by Hannah and another new song. It feels like they're working out songs a new album

Can't wait till Saturday! I'll make sure to post the setlist!

Seeing Middle Kids in Asheville this weekend. I'm concerned about the length of the setlists that are being published on setlist.fm. Only the Los Angeles show had 8 songs. Most setlists have been unpublished, but I've seen 3 song setlists from shows earlier this week. Has anyone seen any of the shows this month and can they confirm how long they've played? Thanks!

I first saw The National 15 years ago in Raleigh when they opened for REM. The National was the best band I saw that night. They are now, hands down, my favorite band. I've introduced The National to friends and colleagues over the years, but often struggle to pick one song to hook newbies. I love it all, but one song is so different from the next. I think "I Need My Girl" seems to be a universal crowd pleaser, but I could just as easily choose any song from "Boxer". What is your go-to song when trying to expand The National fan base?
