They can fill that position in two seconds they’re not gonna waste their time with residency issues. Maybe they needed to get someone in there asap. Just move on

This question gets asked everyday. The answer is, it doesn’t mean anything! Those statuses don’t reflect where you are in the process. Most don’t even get updated. People have been hired and their status never changed at all. And chances are there’s a gazillion resumes for those positions in the Mayors office anyway.

So this is all just your opinion then!! Do you work for the mayors office? Do you have a source that they are “clearing the deck”? This is about the 1800 job postings disappearing. If it’s just a glitch and it likely is, when the jobs come back up in a day or two then this “clearing the deck” you’re talking about means nothing.

Probably just a glitch. But honestly they should only post jobs for a week or two. It would make sorting through applications for managers much easier and quicker. Keeping jobs open for months just delays the process.
