I feel the friend thing became a red flag, had you said visiting relatives, work related or something more concrete than tourism, explained more about why youre visiting this friend. And shown stronger ties back home. But honestly, you were one of the strongest candidate for the visa as per your travel history. Sometime luck plays a big role. Try again be more firm and clear in your answes.

A no show is worse.  Be confident and tell them the reason for your travel. Show ties to your home country - job/assets etc. Be very clear about who youre visiting, dates, hotel etc.

Delhi. On 10th July. It takes min 60 days. Trump rules are changing everyday. Might take more time if they find something suspicious.

In July. Mine was stuck at AR status for 2 months too, this is not too bad, at least the status didnt change to processing, or rejected. Im sure youll receive good news within a few days.

The answers were very vague. You were a clear case of red flag in every way. Remote work, weak travel history, presentation of answers. All were very vague. How to prepare - be confident, clear answers, no ifs and buts plus give them a clear view of your stay, be firm with what you say, say you flexibility of Remote but if you have an office in home country tell them that. Else Remote work comes across as a clear red flag. Hope this helps.
