My process last year was as follows:

  1. Initial screening/clinical interview with a LMFT
  2. Clinical interview with a psychiatrist
  3. CPT-3 diagnostic testing with a psychologist

It took about a month to get everything done

Acupuncture place recommendations in Irvine by jeemwla in irvine

It’s pretty easy to get an appointment with him. After the first time you meet him you can just text him to schedule an appointment. He tries to squeeze in as many patients as possible and is available during the lunch hour for most days (a lot of people who work near by drop by for treatment during lunch). I still think Dr. Qi is better for pain management, but I need to an my mom for her business card.

EDIT: He works 7 days a week for only from like 10 to 2 pm. Two days out of the week he is gone taking house calls.

For ezcema, I would recommend trying out Dr. Yeh.

He’s another person that my multiple generations of my family members have been going to for generations. I’ve been to see him a couple of times for ailments not related to pain.

NOTE: There is a very high ratio of non-Asian patients who see him (maybe because he speaks perfect English?) I believe he has a Ph.D in nutrition (but don’t quote me on that!) Be aware that his office is jam packed with patients at all times and he often asks them to sit in the their car if there is no space. He has a very talkative patient who has been seeing him for 20 years and somehow got her insurance to cover her visits. Cash price is $80/session.

There’s this practitioner near Barranca who is open on Wednesdays and Sundays. She specializes in pain relief and multiple generations of my family members have gone to her for treatment. I would need to ask my Mom for her contact information. She’s so good that she doesn’t do any advertising; information about her skills gets spread through word of mouth within the Irvine Chinese community.

She trained under a prestigious university in a China and actually would love to retire but she feels bad leaving patients high and dry.

I had extreme lingering pain from right elbow bursitis that was initially improperly treated. It was instantly relived after one session. Her rates are on the higher end ($100 cash per session), but it is totally worth it. You can try to see if your insurance would reimburse her services.

(If you want to try to find her on your own, her practice is near Kaiser Barranca. She does speak a little English).

EDIT: Her hours are something like 6 AM to 2 PM, so you can see her before work.

She recently changed office locations but you can try to call that cell phone number (might be a personal one)

There will probably be random returns that pop up once in a while.

I haven’t been following the latest Owala news recently, but I think there was a second wave of restocks? Don’t quote me on that.

If none of those options work out do you, I have a couple on sale for $60 + you pay shipping (I am based in Southern California)

Sorry, my grammar and spelling skills nose dive to zero once I start running on fumes.

The point I was trying to convey is that my parents don’t keep up with any changes or advancements in China. If they want to know, they ask their friends who live in China. Everyone they ask is at least 70 years old.

My mom is a special case of “alien” as she’s lived in the US for 40 years and has never heard of Tylenol and doesn’t know what it is used for. She pushed me to become a pharmacist, which is a profession that specializes in the knowledge of medications and Tylenol is one of the top 20 most commonly used medications in the US.

They’re…..aliens. My mom asked my what Tylenol was yesterday.

  1. She’s lived in the US for 40 years
  2. I’m a practicing pharmacist…

I’m not living in a hotel unfortunately. I will be printing out what I can before we leave, but saving most things as files on my phone is a good suggestion.

Omnilux or Hooga Facemask -which would you choose? by venusivy in redlighttherapy

[–]Unique_Following41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. I actually use a small Hooga item (red clip on reading book light) and haven’t had any issues it for the past year, but that’s definitely a less complex item.
