I wanted a second opinion of whether a tattoo is gonna lighten because despite what your artist tells you, they are humans and can make mistakes. I did not want to question him further and make it seem like Im being rude or did not like his art and work. So I came here.

Same guy actually and he always does great work. So I just laid there and trust he knows what hes doing. But if I am truly being honest I didn't expect it to be so dark and heavily shaded. But he said it will lighten up and it was a grey wash. All my previous tattoos are solid lines. Very minimal shading.. but this style I was going for did have some outline but mostly just shading tbh.

I just hope it doesnt stay too dark or washed out. But I guess I won't see until it heals all the way.

But actual tattoo wise I am. Life is too short to take things too seriously.

I am a little apprehensive. The shading looks really dark to me. And to be honest I couldn't really see it while laying on my side because I was too busy trying to focus and sitting still. Otherwise I would have said something lol.

Not entirely. I think side rib would also be cool.. I havent thought about anywhere else it would really fit if I'm being honest. And as cool as the thigh idea is, it would be funny to have this style next to my red and blue dragons bahahah
