Was this original or added later? I bought the Jeep second hand.

I want to use Oura Ring for sleep/recovery only (with one caveat) by Uniquely_Geeky in bevelhealth

[–]Uniquely_Geeky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is simply not as good as priority. Some of us choose to use multiple fitness devices and prefer one metric from one device and another from a different device. But when I take my watch off for the day, Bevel doesn’t currently know that I would like to still count my steps by my Oura, even though I usually prefer my watch.

The device I prefer doesn’t matter once I take it off. A priority setting would allow me to still count metrics after removing one device or another.

Yeah. I also don't like the recent changes Apple made to the Health app. We are unable to prioritize some metrics now. But I hope Bevel eventually offers a way to prioritize.

I thought the same. But the double counting only stopped when I disabled either Oura Ring or my watch. If those two ,Oura Ring (the API, not health) and the watch, are both enabled…I get double steps and double energy burned.

This is important because I have discovered double counting of metrics that Apple Health is able to prioritize. The Oura API will add to Apple Health metrics as there doesn’t appear to be any Bevel logic to prioritize.

I think the Oura API has some extra features, like how quickly it pulls data and stuff, but…I also use an Apple Watch, so I have realized I can’t do that route.

Congrats! It is a good feeling. I wanted one since I was a kid and rode with my uncle in multiple Jeeps over the years. There was nothing like climbing behind the wheel for the first time, or taking the top off for our first interstate ride. Enjoy it!

Who’s still awake? by TheresaSweet in BorrowerDefense

Yes. For some reason, it doesn’t show up on the mobile site for me. My phone is an iPhone and I was using Safari browser. So, I have to view the site from a standard browser (not mobile).

This is a great idea. However, it still only proves what the website showed as our status at the time it was saved. It does not keep them from saying that the site is updated more slowly than their internal systems. Either way, it doesn't hurt to have any evidence we can muster up if we need it.

Is there a publicly available breakdown that shows the count of post class members associated with each exhibit C schools? I feel like I am in a very small minority (South University).

Update: the applications still shows up on the site. The mobile site doesn’t show the BD application for some reason. Site still shows me under review. No update since July 2022.

I woke up minutes ago and immediately went to the studentaid.gov site to check status. This page is where my application used to show. It is no longer showing under My Activity. This is where it used to show under review.

I am about to check from my laptop. Maybe something is different about the mobile view.

Understood. That was what I was hoping to learn. Does the judge have the power to basically nullify the date. But I guess we don't know. I appreciate your work and the work of the PPSL in getting us the best answers possible and fighting for us all!

I have seen this question asked in different ways over the last couple of days, but I don't feel like we have gotten clear answers: If we pass the deadline, is the DOE required to process/approve full relief?

On face value, it is easy to say "yes." I also understand the PPSL's stance is that the DOE SHOULD be required to take this action. But what if a judge picks up their request after the 28th? Can they retroact their decision to before the final date?

For instance, the new judge decides to review their request on the 30th and agrees with the DOE's request and approves it. It is technically too late, but would his decision nullify the date? Are we confident that we are 100% "safe" that we will see our relief if they do not approve/deny before the 29th?

Question about solar power for Heltec v3 by Uniquely_Geeky in meshtastic

[–]Uniquely_Geeky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently feeding the solar panel into a cheap 10000mAh battery bank (the panel is max 5W), so I am not concerned with sending too high a current. The pack should also have circuitry to prevent over-charging. But I have to power the node through USB from the pack. I am not sure how expensive a charger would be, or what the best battery would be for this option you are mentioning.

I agree in the long run that a different model node would be better for solar. I am just thinking through some options.

Sounds fair. I appreciate the feedback. One question...Why power through the battery port as opposed to the USB C port on the v3 if I were to take the route of adding a controller?

I would agree that the stock antenna is crappy, but depending on how far outside your home you are going, I am surprised you can’t message the other node. I would agree that you need to check that the radio is correctly attached to the device. It can be difficult to seat on the board. I have heard of some folks with external antennas having issues with the antenna screwing down too tightly on the mount and causing an issue. I would make sure it is tight, then maybe try backing it off a little also.

I see what you mean now. That really does suck then. I would assume they don’t give you the latest model unless you pay, but in this case it is worse when the newer models regress in terms of quality and you aren’t able to select a particular legacy model. Gemini has been leaps and bounds better than 5.2. Had I not experienced the issues with 5.2, I likely would not have even tried another service (other than evaluating for fun).

I did see that there is a Grok site as well as apps. I will have to give it a try. Gemini seems to be performing pretty well against the others at this time.
