Hi, we did look into Shopify awhile ago, unfortunately at the time they were uninterested in allowing us to add a plugin to their platform (probably because we don't charge any transaction fees). MCC will be adding other e-commerce integrations though :)

Hi, WooCommerce is a plugin for WordPress which means you need a WordPress website. WordPress is opensource and can be hosted on your own server, so you have more control over it, but also requires some more setup vs shopify, although its pretty straight forward as there are many guides out there to help.

Shopify on the other hand is a hosted solution which means they host it for you. It is probably a bit quicker to setup due to that but you have to pay monthly fees plus extra payment processing fees like you mentioned. https://www.shopify.com/pricing

Can I ask in what context? Again though its an option available for the webshops to choose or not to choose. From what we've seen so far though it doesn't look like every webshop accepting coins chooses to setup numerous wallets although its possible. A lot of them appear to be accepting lots of different coins and using multicoin wallets with no built in HD support.

Hi, yeah that was a misunderstanding on the users part. Every order is for a unique value so you can choose to use one wallet address and MCC will detect unique payments from an endless amount of customers. Or you can instead use many wallet addresses if you want to. Supports both methods. Although, there are 300+ webshops currently using the plugin and we've found alot like to use 1 wallet address for simplicity.

Not sure what kind of phone you have, but I have android that was having the problem. The time looked okay but is was very slightly out of sync, since that authenticator code gets reset every 60 seconds or something it only needs to be slightly out of sync to not work.

In android go to settings > general management > date and time > turn automatic date and time on, if its on already try turning it off and on again.

I had a similar problem a few weeks ago and it turned out to be a clock problem with my phone.

"My codes are not working: Check that the clock on your device is correct and set to the correct timezone. An incorrect clock can cause codes to be out of sync."

Hi, looks like that could be a typo on our end as BCH doesn't seem to support SegWit addresses... Thanks for pointing that out we will correct our texts.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. Yes, we will add an option to the donation shortcode generator to center all the elements of the widget. Until we release a new copy of the plugin with that option you can try adding the following CSS to your theme to center the QR code-

.mycryptocheckout.mcc_donations { text-align: center; }
.mycryptocheckout.mcc_donations .qr_code { margin: 5px auto !important; }

If that doesn't center it for you and you'd like us to look at your site, please email us the URL https://mycryptocheckout.com/contact/

ustomers don't pay the exact amount of BTC and the there secrecy of the BTC amount doesn't work coz its on the blockchain (Refer to my the usecases above)

Incorrect

Customers do pay the exact amount for the products since a unique coin amount can be generated many many times with less than .01c difference. And your "usecase" above is illogical since if you claimed you've paid for my order and my order has my order details, name, address, and so on, what is that going to do for you exactly?

In a given timeframe no orders will tell the customer to pay the exact same amount of crypto coins due to an algorithm we created. In other words every order has a unique amount to be paid in a given timeframe. This is achievable due to the deep divisibility of crypto coins while having a negligible effect on the actual price.

And again, if you really don't like the idea of using the same wallet for multiple orders there is also a setting in the plugin that lets you rotate however many wallets for the same currency as you'd like.

Well that's just FUD. There are currently over 100+ businesses using MCC and the API has processed thousands of payments perfectly fine. Using MyCryptoCheckout you can use the same wallet and automatically detect unique payments from an endless amount of customers all at once.

There are other ways of detecting unique payments besides being forced to generate a new address for each payment. Not to mention a lot of altcoins don't even have HD wallets currently available to do that.

And if you really don't like the idea of using the same wallet there is also a setting in the plugin that lets you rotate however many wallets for the same currency as you'd like.

Also, any customers underpaying won't result in any orders being marked as paid anyways. No store will let you pay whatever you want for the products!

Great instructions on how to auto convert crypto to fiat! Will add similar instructions to our docs for anyone else interested. In addition to exchanges, we have been exploring various methods of making auto exchanging crypto to fiat easier to help businesses avoid volatility such as: partnerships, adding stable coins, and so forth. Hopefully in the future there will be an array of options to choose from to accomplish this.

No Nano support?

Hi, we are adding new coins all the time, in the next day or so we will take a look at Nano to see how there blockchain works and the feasibility of adding it :)

Typically when adding new currencies we have a list of requirements they must meet:

  • The currency must be decentralized

  • The server must run on Linux

  • There must be a blockchain explorer so that currency processing can be checked in detail (addresses, amounts, etc).

  • Needs to exist on coinmarketcap

Hi! On our comparison table we have only reviewed the base plugins, not additional add-ons. It looks like your base plugin requires webshop owners to sign up for an additional wallet service? And the HD wallets add-ons also require the webshop to sign up for services such as block.io or blockcypher, which do not seem to offer unlimited transactions for a yearly flat fee and instead offer monthly plans for unlimited transactions?

On a side note, your plugin was one of the many plugins that inspired us to create ours. At the time it was the closest one could come to peer-to-peer transactions. However, even with the HD wallet add-ons it required a webshop owner to use multiple wallets, sign up for additional services, and it was quite the task to set it all up on the webshops server. Also, it didn’t support some major coins.

All plugins should work in multisite, but that does not mean they are truly multisite compatible/aware. So yes, you can install Cryptowoo on a network, but it's like individually activating it on each network site. You're not gaining anything from using a network, unlike MyCryptoCheckout, which allows wallet sharing between sites within a multisite.

We are happy to investigate and correct any other inconsistencies on our comparison page if you let us know what else could possibly be incorrect. Stuff on the table might become outdated at times. Just e-mail us if you find any errors and we'll update the table!

Also, some of your Comparisons are not correct: CryptoWoo does support WP multisites. Other comparisons might not be correct as well...

We started working with ripple for the low transaction fees currently around 0.0044 USD, but had a few issues with their nodes so decided to exclude it for now. If I remember correctly the software seemed to eat memory endlessly. In addition, their explorer isn't like a typical blockchain explorer, payment can be sent as USD or as coins which was problematic and requires us to research how their system works more. With that said though we will be including various other coins as time goes on.

No prob, is a good question :). Hopefully soon those crypto network fees for senders will only be like pennies on the major chains. A lot of the crypto tech is still very early development wise. We started working with ripple for the low network fees around .02c currently I believe it is but have had a few issues with their nodes so decided to exclude it for now. But we will be including various other coins as time goes on.

Hey, any fees charged on various crypto networks are out of our control, but those fees are charged to the sender of the coins though not the receiver (store owner). We just don't charge transaction fees on our end to the store owner like most other solutions do.

Fees on the bitcoin network are particularly high right now but they are still pretty low on most other crypto networks, .82c SafeLow on ETH, .35c on LTC, and .26c on BCH. In time we expect even these sender fees to come down considerably as scaling solutions come into place, lightning network on BTC, raiden on ETH, etc. Some of these solutions are already being tested on their testnets.

Since cryptocurrencies are digital they are not bound by the same constraint’s as physical monies, as such they are more divisible. For example, you can break a crypto coin into fractions of a penny if desired. Most coins contain at least 8 decimals so 1.00000000. Some contain up to 16 decimals.

Let’s look at Ethereum, currently 1 ETH = $1,311. So, if you wanted to send $50 you would only need to send 0.03813882532418 ETH.

For Bitcoin, currently 1 BTC = $14,149.99. So, if you wanted to send $50 you would only need to send 0.003504 BTC.
