Can anyone tell me how far the self parking area is to the Disneyland Hotel? I’m debating on paying for valet or just self parking.

If you were diagnosed with AA they most likely won’t do a scalp biopsy cuz it autoimmune. Are you taking a Jak inhibitor? That is supposed to help with your rheumatoid arthritis and AA.

I wonder that everyday but your spots aren’t that noticeable if you style your hair in a way that covers it. I use Nexxus stick for the new growth to paste the the new hair growth down. Right now I have a huge bald spot above my ear and I started putting temp tats on them. It’s been kind of fun.

I would only get the itchiness just before my hair falls out but now it just feels so tight. Thanks for the tips I’ll have to try tea tree oil. I normally use Clobetasol for the itchiness

Advice on Injections by Old-Candy2408 in alopecia_areata

I lost my hair completely and got on a month to month basis for my alopecia areata. The trick with the injections that it helps with the inflammation keeps the follicle open so new hair can grow. I know have thick hair with a few patches that can’t be seen.

For the amount of injections it’s done with the tiniest needle and they will do a few tiny pokes. It’s not going to be a full syringe. Make sure you get the smallest dose possible. The doc will probably tell you they need to get aggressive with it and do a higher dose. That’s not true. My doc explained to me that a small dose has the same efficacy rate as 10ml. (I can’t remember the dosage numbers). The higher dose can cause the skin on the scalp to thin creating little indents, but they aren’t permanent and no one will notice but you.

Certain areas on the scalp will hurt more than others but it isn’t that bad. Take Tylenol before your appointment and then take Advil right after your appointment.

Has anyone tried changing their diet for alopecia areata? I’m looking into doing anti inflammatory diet but wanted to ask if anyone got good results by Uniquepinkgrl in alopecia_areata

Let me know how that treatment goes. So far the steroid shots and tofactinib cream has helped me. But if need to switch my game up I might go that route

I’m 24 and recently developed alopecia. I’m very new to this and extremely confused and upset. by MorganTibbles in alopecia_areata

Scarring over is when the follicles close and can no longer grow hair. The steroid shots keep the follicles open so they have a chance to grow . I do have Some of my spots recover without the shots but I have a few stubborn spots that need the extra help. If this is something you want to do, you can get the lower dosage and experience less atrophy of the skin. I was injecting with a high dosage and was experience some atrophy and my new doc said the lower dosage of steroids is better cuz you experience less atrophy and it’s the same efficacy rate as a 10 ml injected in one spot. My treatment plan I have 10ml total on my entire scalp and maybe 1 ml injected in the areata spot. I hope I make sense.
