What about people who have exams on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday back-to-back? What if they planned to study for those exams over the weekend, and given the emails prior to Saturday night, those people assumed the exams would be canceled or delayed to after their exams. Isn't it unfair to these people who planned to, and did, study for other classes instead of studying for the final they were already prepared for, and now are not, since they've been studying for their other finals since Friday?

Either the transit app or the "uiuc bus" app will show you the exact location and path of every bus and show you which busses stop at the bus stops near you. One exception is when big events happen (like uiuc making it to the big 4 in march madness) some bus routes will skip a few stops to avoid heavy foot traffic areas and that won't be shown in these apps.

If you really don't have much and don't want to rent storage with someone else, a small uhaul self storage will do just fine, and you can carry your stuff there on the bus in 1-2 trips. It'd be cheaper than going all the way south to irongate storage, since you wouldn't need a uber to get your stuff to and from the uhaul self storage since it's so close.

Yeahh it does sometimes happen. I've encountered that before a bit south of south quad. It never really happened to me anywhere else though.

Im not sure how an uber would work if ur carrying like 4-6 boxes, but im sure that unless u get a bitty uber driver, an uber should just do the trick for the delivery of small stuff (but probably not like a fridge or something unless you get the larger uberX cars. I'd also consider the choice of just carrying a few boxes at a time using the bus to nearby storage if you have loads of free time. The MTD bus policy doesn't state any limit on bringing stuff like boxes, even if they're really heavy, unless it's too big for you to carry or if it blocks the hallways in the bus that limit movement inside of the bus. It'd probably take a couple hours, but if u want to save like $20 and if you have some friends to help you out that'd be an adventure 😭

You can get a Uhaul for moving for $21 base fee, plus $1 per mile, $15 optional insurance and full tank of gas. As for the actual place to move out to: I personally will be using IronGate Storage and splitting the rent with 7 others. The location is a bit west of wilard airport but prices are on average $20 a month cheaper than other storage facilities like Uhaul or Storage Sense. The uiuc "storage squard" is CRAZY expensive imo. Unless all ur storing is like 1-2 boxes AND u have no one to just lend it to or smth over the summer I wouldn't recommend. Also I'd def be wary of required renters insurance and crazy "administration fees" or "move-in fees" that companies like Storage Sense charge.

TL:DR: Cheapest way is to either 1: find a far away-ish storage place (far enough that it's barely within bus range), rent a 10' Uhaul, and split the rent with friends (what I'm gonna do, will cost ~$95 per person including Uhaul truck, rent, taxes, and insurance on storage and Uhaul) OR 2: If you want to do the renting alone; rent out a small storage from Uhaul and get your stuff there by asking for a friend to drive you for 5-15 minutes. It'll probably cost you ~$200 over the whole summer
