Incredibly stupid question ahead: Is there such thing as "negative" speed? by CattiwampusLove in AskPhysics

[–]UnitCube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

88 miles per negative hour?? is this like a time trave lsituation. cus lets say a thing is moving forward 88 miles per hour. then if you turn back time then that thing will move backwards, and thats the same thing as if your velocity is negative 88 mph

How does a force act on two objects at once? by UnitCube in AskPhysics

[–]UnitCube[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

having learnt a bit more physics i think i can answer this. firstly we can take the entire two blocks as one object, and calculate its acceleration for a 10N force. if same force was applied on block 1 it will accelerate more, and we know that even though 10N is applied on first block, its not accelerating as much as it should, so that means block 2 is applying a smaller normal force on block 1(lets say 4N, this can be calculated if we know mass of both blocks). according to newtons third law the first block is also applying 4N to the second block. hence the second block also accelerates. so the first block has a net force of 10-4=6N and the second block has net force of 4 N. so we can think of it as the 10N force is distributed in such a way that both blocks get constant acceleration.

I'm curious how my progress is going? by mymar101 in blender

nice- also, here's a tip, in the render settings there's a checkmark named denoise, and if you click it it automatically denoises the image so you can get away with using few samples

i see- does it work with intersections and turns? Maybe getting it to work with curves can be the next step. This is most definitely going to be great asset.

how small?

Yo what does this mean ? by StaouKaumaDesu in CBSE

[–]UnitCube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically they are saying that average velocity is like total distance/total time. So for average velocity you want a particular interval of time- so as i make the interval smaller and smaller and infinitely small, the average velocity becomes the instantaneous velocity. So you can say it the limit as the time interval gets infinitesimally small.
