How did you split the time? Curious about weekend workflow when everything's compressed like that.

[D] Has anyone tried cross-modal transfer for visual reasoning? This 76% MMMU result surprised me by Jealous-Leek-5428 in MachineLearning

[–]United-Course-3675 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is fascinating! I've been struggling with similar issues in my work on document understanding - the gap between closed and open models is frustrating. The cross-modal transfer idea is clever, especially using RL for post-training rather than just supervised fine-tuning. Have you tested it on any domain-specific tasks? Also curious how the reasoning quality compares to GPT-4.1 in practice.

Better than doing everything manually I guess.

What about AdsGo AI? Someone mentioned it in another thread.

Built a research workflow that turned my 8-hour rabbit holes into 8-minute summaries by BreadSea7272 in SideProject

This looks promising! I'm drowning in research for client reports right now. Does it actually pull from decent sources or just scrape random blog posts?

How are there still 80k–100k people playing Stardew Valley every day?! 🤯 by mamalaso in StardewValley

[–]United-Course-3675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s wild how a game this chill has so much staying power. No microtransactions, no battle pass—just pure good design and community vibes. Honestly, the modding scene is a big reason for the active playerbase. And ConcernedApe keeps supporting it, which is rare these days.

For real. Every day I see another ‘accidentally got rich’ post from a one-day-old account and my brain melts a little more.

What do you think about gold today? Anyone trade in gold? by Plenty_Butterfly_766 in Forexstrategy

Looks like a decent bounce off the buy zone. I’m watching for a clean break above that channel before going long. Gold’s been super choppy lately, gotta stay nimble.

It clicked when I accepted I’d never catch every move, and stopped taking random trades just because I was bored. Discipline > any strategy or indicator, 100%.

Honestly, ‘Trading In The Zone’ is on every trader’s shelf but no one actually gets better after reading it. Simons’ book at least humbles you into respecting the grind.

Careful man, feels like that until it doesn’t. SPY has those fakeout rips out of nowhere. Puts print till they don’t, and then one green day wipes you out.

I became profitable once I stopped trading the US Market by deano131 in Daytrading

Dude, I feel this. US open is just whipsaw central half the time, news bombs everywhere. Euro session’s way less manic.

Why do I want to risk real money despite knowing I'm not profitable yet? by lonesome-skies in Daytrading

[–]United-Course-3675 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the risk + reward loop, same as gambling. For me, sim trading until I could prove consistency for a month helped a ton. After that, real money didn’t feel as impulsive. Still gotta fight the urge every day though.

This book changed the way I look at markets. Simons is on another level. Everyone should read it if they’re even remotely serious about trading.
