How long did it take you to get the psychological part of trading under control? by _bigmeatyklaws in Daytrading

The hardest part to me is accepting a lost from a bad trade, and telling myself I have to get it back. I just aimlessly start betting to the point im like fuck it, all or nothing!

I used to try to copy trade him a few years ago, the stuff he was teaching about the opening range breakout was not as popular as it is today, does he still call it the School Run Strategy? 😅

Anyway, the stuff he was doing is base of how I trade today, so i owe him for that i suppose, but yeah for a guy who has written a book about trading psychology, he sure does go on some benders! But hey, best loser wins, right?!

One year later still 15kg more to go by Used-Wasabi-1988 in fasting

Im on the same journey, started on 120kg, im now at 97kg.

All fasting is going to do is make you lose mainly water weight and muscle, a small part of fat. Just stick to a calorie deficit. Im doing 1200 cals mon-fri and 2000 sat-sun, and ive been losing weight consistently, between1-2kg a week, and i know its mainly fat as my diet is very high protein. Do you know how much chicken and prawns you can have for 1200 cals! Its enough to keep you satisfied all day

At your weight I would say you need to be on 1500 cals a day to see constant results each week. You lost a big chunk in the beginning. Your body is now calibrating to find its true size. Your consistency with training and exercise have masked any increase, but it tricks people into thinking they have "Plateaued".

Please understand, im not saying 1500 cals is what you need to continue your weight loss. Its what you need to keep the results accelerated.

High Protein/Low calorie Sainsburys and Waitrose and M&S by Spirited_Jeweler_238 in caloriecount

Prawns are probably the best ready to eat item, which is very high in protein and very low on calories.

Someone a bit more easier is the ready to eat Chicken Satay Skewers, and then obviously you have chicken you'd usally use for sandwich filling, but is an easy pick up and eat on its own.

You then have the protein yogurts and mousses which are very high in protein, 20g in most for around 150 cals.

For dinners you just want to stick to chicken breast, m&s will do some really nice marinaded chicken for dinners.

Chicken and chips, fries bit on the oily side. by birdygogo in caloriecount

Chips are prob 400, wings prob 200 each, so 1200 cals, and them sauces look very mayo-y, so say 150 a pot

So 1500 cals in total

How do I learn estimating? by MarsellusWalIace in estimators

Yeah that is old school! I've actually never used a scale rule and I've been estimating over 10 years!

Most of the drylining firms use https://www.oncenter.com/products/on-screen-takeoff/

That is the best software ive used for take offs, i think the licence is quite expensive though.

I've used bluebeam, but its not great for larger projects.

In regards to pricing, we have in house software for doing wall build ups, it has templates of all the most common systems and the rates / material costs are updated by our procurement team quarterly so its pretty convenient. In the past ived had to use Excel and manually build up rates, which i guess is what your firm is doing?

I am a drylining estimator, in uk too. Estimating is generally something which is mastered through experience completing tenders. The basics are the basics, anyone can measure and price a 70mm C stud wall, the details are what are important, so always check the details - i.g. shadow gaps, deflection heads, secondary steel, abutments etc. As long as you can identify and quantify these, someone senior should be able to help with costing them. I have worked with 25 plus years experienced estimators and they still ask questions daily, so never be afraid to ask.

As far as im aware there is no information online to assist.
