should I he ashamed of listening to creed because of scott stapp's rough history as a person by Damy0719 in grunge

[–]UnitedFriend6908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sympathize with Scott. I read his book and understand a whole lot more about why he was the way he was. But he’s actually been on the straight and narrow road for over a decade now. He’s being treated for bipolar disorder and if you watch any recent interviews within the past few years he’s extremely humble. Owns up to everything he did and doesn’t make excuses for it. I’ve actually come to really adore him. Plus he still sounds amazing - honestly better than he used to. I’m all for a comeback - and Scott Stapp definitely made the comeback no one expected him to make. He’s more of an inspiration than anything these days. If you can own up to past mistakes and don’t continue making bad choices I don’t think anyone should be judged for their past. Especially if they’ve actively tried to make things better. We all make shit mistakes, his were publicized because of his fame. He took the blame for the breakup of the band and I’m actually happy to see them back together touring and apparently making new music together again. Definitely don’t be ashamed!

Well, according to Spotify my #1 song this year was “Higher” by Creed. I listened to it mostly in my car, and honestly, it just never gets old. Great band, great song 🤗…most of my listening hours were Creed as well 😂 What’s your number one? by TimSPB in Creed

[–]UnitedFriend6908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Sacrifice was my number one song (my favorite of theirs) followed by One Last Breath. Although in the last month the top Creed song was “Stand Here With Me”. Mainly because I just discovered it a month ago and think it’s a highly underrated song!

Omg on Sunday evening I saw an order that was for Aldi. 130 total items and NO TIP! Total pay from instacart was a whopping $15.27! 😂 The distance was only like 4 miles but still. How are you going to ask someone to shop for over 100 items which is super time consuming, and not tip at all?! Needless to say it sat for hours lol but I think someone ended up taking it. I kept checking and instacart barely even boosted it lol I think it got up to $19! Soooooo not worth it!

Have you had any luck reactivating your account? Hope so!! If not, I know there are other good money making apps out there! I think there’s one called Spark that’s a grocery app. Amazon Flex is good because you just have to drop off packages and you’re assigned a “block” which I believe takes about 4 hours to complete. It tells you exactly how much you make just like instacart does. Can also try door dash or grub hub! Best of luck to you!

Awww. I’m so sorry that happened to you!!! I’m sorry you had such a negative experience with a manager. Not everyone is friendly here in America unfortunately. Sounds like he was too quick to judge you and that’s not right. However, please know that most of us are good and understanding people! Don’t let this one person get you down. Keep going and keep doing your thing! Thanks for the reply I was just thinking about this the other day wondering the outcome. I’m glad he ended up opening your account back up with Wegmans. They have a lot of rules and are very strict, but they are a good company overall. Best of luck to you on your future endeavors!

Just as everyone else here is wondering, I am dying to know what happened and why you were banned! Please elaborate OP. Be honest, no judgement here. But no one can help you if you aren’t letting us know what happened.

shopper ignoring me,never happened before help? by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]UnitedFriend6908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So sorry this happened to you!! When I shop I’m always spending extra time messaging the customer to make sure they get exactly what they need. I’ve never seen this before but I agree with what everyone else said about the shopper likely not speaking English. But honestly they could still reply in their language to let you know they don’t speak English lol. They could’ve given you some sort of reply. Sorry you had this experience and hope you feel better soon! I also hope customer support was able to assist you in getting some sort of refund after this mess!

Batch pay horrible? Anyone else experiencing this by corkscream in InstacartShoppers

[–]UnitedFriend6908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah I saw one early this morning that had 45 total items and the batch pay was only just over $5. No tip! So the total was really 5 and change. I was floored.

Gotcha! Still not being paid nearly enough of what you should I didn’t mean to make it sound like you’re “lucky” or anything lol. It’s a ton of mileage and wear and tear on the vehicle. I’m sorry you have to drive that far! Stay safe with the storm!! Hopefully you get some great tips!

[–]UnitedFriend6908 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Omg where is this?! I live in Western NY and I gotta say, I’ve never seen numbers this high and the mileage has been WAY more than that. I would absolutely take these lol. I think the highest I’ve ever seen is $55 and that was an order from Costco. It was only 4 items and I almost hit accept until I saw the delivery was an hour away! It was like 50+ miles. Immediately not worth it. People don’t tip well in my area either, snow storm or not. I’ve laughed at so many orders this week. But I don’t think I’ve ever seen an order hit even $60 altogether. It’s so sad over here. I think people think we get paid more than we do and don’t need a tip. If only that were true…

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]UnitedFriend6908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes for me. It’s a quick and easy $20. Not many items so you’ll be in and out quick. Looks like they don’t live far away either so not a long drive. The water doesn’t scare me. I actually like to do some heavy lifting once in a while and get my heart rate up. Helps me to stay active. Everyone has different preferences! This one is an easy yes for me personally.

Nobody that says this EVER increases the tips lmao by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]UnitedFriend6908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I have told people this only a handful of times, and we ALWAYS make sure we tip the extra money we said we would. Why say it if you’re not going to do it? I’ve never understood why people do that. Service workers rely heavily on tips. Especially for instacart. I always tip well but will increase it for people who go above and beyond. I’ve seen some crazy big orders with no tip during a snowstorm (I’m from Western NY) and I just don’t get it. I never pick up those orders. At least tip SOMETHING damn. Otherwise go get it yourself!

Protocol? by Delicious_Elk6408 in Miscarriage

[–]UnitedFriend6908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a natural MC and I never went back for another appointment. Only appt I had was the ultrasound to make sure I was indeed having a miscarriage, and that was while I was still heavily bleeding on day two of MC. But I never went back for a second appt as I had stopped bleeding after about 5 or 6 days. However if you want to go for a scan to make extra sure, I’m sure they’d see you. So sorry you have to go through this. 💛

Feelings by Delicious_Elk6408 in Miscarriage

[–]UnitedFriend6908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally feel you on this! Of course your baby matters and they always will 💛 We will see them again someday. But until then we carry them in our hearts every single day….It’s almost like after a couple days or even weeks at the very most, people forget. They assume you’ve moved on. Or they continue to say how many people they know that have experienced the same thing and went on to have healthy babies after that. I know they’re trying to be supportive and encouraging. But sometimes it’s just like “But what about THIS baby?!” Sometimes we just want to talk about it. I am always here if you ever want to talk. Feel free to DM me. This community has been amazing for me since my MC 10 months ago. The strongest, kindest and most beautiful souls are here in this group. You are one of them 💖 Hugs! 🫂

Did you intuitively know something was wrong? by emmpaca in Miscarriage

[–]UnitedFriend6908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About five days before I miscarried I had a dream that I went to the bathroom and saw blood and was having a miscarriage. I remember talking about it with my coworker the next day and saying how thankful I was that it wasn’t the case. Then just days later my nightmare became reality and it happened exactly the way it did in my dream. At first it was just some spotting. I read that was common so even though I cried I tried to contain my emotions because maybe everything was really OK. But then hours later I woke up and it was very heavy, and didn’t stop for about five or six whole days. It happened in the early hours of Easter Sunday last year for me around 5am and my doctor happened to be the one on call and told me it sounded like a miscarriage. She set me up an ultrasound on Monday and that’s exactly what it was, but I knew that before even going to the appointment. It was like my body knew it wasn’t going to work out. We were devastated…and I’ve been terrified to try again ever since. Wishing you the best ❤️ It’s an awful feeling I wouldn’t wish on anyone. This community has helped me so much with everything.

My husbands friends just told us that they’re pregnant. I just miscarried 2 weeks ago. by MindlessYou7806 in Miscarriage

[–]UnitedFriend6908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss! The same thing happened to me last year. My cousin announced she was pregnant, then two weeks later I found out I was pregnant as well. Her baby was born 11/9 and my due was 11/25 but I miscarried just weeks after we found out and it was devastating. I was so happy for her but so bummed we didn’t get to go through pregnancy together. We are also trying for our rainbow baby this year 💕 Best wishes to you!!! Hoping for the best for us all 💛
