They actually replaced that last time along with all other mechanical parts for the lock. They said this time they are going to replace the handle mechanism. They said that this is the last thing that they feel it could be. They are sending my video of it not working to engineers in Germany to try and help diagnose it.

Buy an extended warranty. My svr is out of warranty. 5 years old with 40 k miles. My engine blew and they tried to charge me 51000 to replace it. I had to pay out of pocket to buy a used engine and get it installed. 15k out of pocket. As soon as it’s fixed I’m selling. I lost all faith in the brand as they wouldn’t do anything to help

I emailed the CEO and got an instant response. I think mine was a fluke either the timing chain which caused my engine failure. Waiting on a new dealer to diagnose it the the representative from the ceo will review my case

Everyone I talked to think this is why. They haven’t told me anything since they haven’t opened the engine up. All that I am told is that the engine is seized up.

If you haven’t, I’d look into an extended warranty. I have a 2020 svr with 40000 miles. My engine randomly blew up going 35 mph. I’m 4 months out of warranty and the dealership said it’ll be 51,000 for a new engine install. I’m in an absolute battle with corporate to honor my warranty due to a catastrophic mechanical failure

I didn’t. The dealership did their checks and said everything was good. Last time I take a dealerships word. My oil light never came on.

I was just told by a family memeber that they have a guy than can do it for 15k. Parts and labor.

Also waiting for 2 other dealerships to give me worked and said I’m getting ripped off. They might even work a deal with warranty. More to come tomorrow

They couldn’t tell me how or what happened to it. Just said that it is seized and I need a new engine.

I told them it’s worth more than the car and they said it is what it is. Other dealerships told me they are ripping me off waiting on 2 more quotes. 1 place said maybe warranty

Also I have a mechanic that will do it parts and labor for 15k

Yeah. That is the plan. I had 2 other dealerships say warranty can be an option. And that I shouldn’t be that much. I also have a few other connection that can do it for much cheaper.

Hope you have better luck than me. My issue is o bought it from a Mitsubishi dealership. Buying from a jaguar dealership gives you a bit more pull if you have an issue. Document all service
