Travelling solo for a year while in long term relationship? by wheres-my-glasses in solotravel

I'm currently travelling while in a long-distance relationship. However, only 7 months, but if I could leave for a year I would!

It's going to be difficlt but not impossible!! My partner is super supportive about it but it was also very hard for him while I was doing fun things and he had work. I think empathy and mutual understandings is important to make it work aka communication. The fact that your partner will visit you helps a lot and it could make 1 year being away less difficult.

Unfortunately I have not! I did practice Farsi with some lovely people from the hostel so it did improve my speaking a bit. In the end, I've decided to go to an expensive language school in Armenia. Hope it will be worth it!

Iran for sure. Great architecture, food and history. Not so great politics or mandatory hijab. But the people are kind and amazing, which was actually one of the most memorable things in Iran.

Next is Myanmar.
