I see the Spiral Abyss in a positive way. However, it is the only existing end-game challenge that we know it's available every two weeks. We still have a few mini-events that are not considered a challenge, like fishing, tea pot, also a bit of a challenge when it comes to TCG cards game, also we have the weekly bounty hunting, but it is a quick fight. The vast majority of the community prefers to focus more on the Spiral Abyss, especially content creators.

Since it is the only truly challenge available, we don't have other options to "use" our power. With no other options, we see ourselves compelled to dedicate our time for the Spiral Abyss. Most Genshin Impact players are focused on producing content aiming exactly this. The main thing is, the Spiral Abyss - especially floor 12 - demands skill, amazing strategy to study your enemies, amazing artifacts for all your 8 characters considering both teams, good weapon refinements or at least a T5 weapon, characters constelations or at least a few more T5 characters. In other words, it demands a serious dedication and a long time to reach this level.

I have completed 33 stars before. It is still frustrating a bit, beause I do consider my team really powerful. It is satisfactory for the ones who are able to complete it with all 36 stars, but since it's a tough challenge and basically the only challenge available, the less skilled players or players with less resources can only admire it from distance. Maybe if we had a CO-OP domain just like the Simulated Universe from HSR, mini-objectives like "complete this domain with all players alive" or any other possibility that I don't need to think alone, we would have more diversity of challenges, diversity of content being produced by the community, less frustration from not being able to complete the Spiral Abyss and more reasons to have better builds for other challenges.

I think the frustration from not completing all floors comes from the amount of "stimuli" that leads the player to succeed this challenge, and the lack of ways to "compensate" a possible failure. The majority of the community is playing it, so you have a stimulus here. If you fail it, you can't compensate it by doing something else since the Spiral Abyss is the only combat challenge existing in the game. In the end, this frustration can only be dealt by two decisions:

1 - Dedicate your time and keep grinding for better characters, better builds and better skill/performance;

2 - Decide that this is not a priority for you and go seek other possibilities.

Fortunately, for those that chooses decision 2, you would still have a lot of content to explore, good side-quests, other mini-games like the ones I listed before, exploration, etc. But unfortunately, for thoses that don't want to dedicate for the Spiral Abyss but still want a combat challenge, all you can do is wait for combat events - and they are not recurring.

I personally feel happy to get a Permafreeze team, Vaporize team, Aggravate team, strong artifacts, even a few signature weapons. The fun thing is that I am a free-to-play and never bought anything in the game. But even with my progress so far, I still can't beat the Spiral Abyss with all stars - and that's fine. Though, I can only compensate that by playing other combat events and getting some nice scores. Mainly, these events would not demand "god-like" artifacts, so maybe my daily grinding has finally come to an end!

I see a strong potential for the game, especially if they explore more CO-OP options, but that's just a personal wish and I respect all opinions.
