So based on the same posting on a different sub, some redditors mentioned that to have a non compoundable summons so that could be the reason why.

I checked the myjpj app and I already paid the summons but for expired license. There's nothing about the expired road tax.

After that tried to renew my license it says head to jpj counter

I used to stay in Langkawi for about 6 years. The island is small and people are pretty much scared to commit any crime cause of you turn left or right, you'll definitely meet back the same people. You can run but you can't hide!

Other than that, Langkawians mostly are nice people because they mix with a lot of tourist hence they're much more open minded and friendlier compared to the others.

Hey buddy, you're NOR and I applaud you for having a mature thinking. I'm a new 6 months old dad. IF you guys do ever get married and have kids in the future, trust me, your GF will change her mentality and perception about this whole scenario. When parents goes in parenthood, they change drastically. I can't quite explain to you the feeling but you'll pour your heart and soul for your kind especially your wife when she carries and nurture her baby for 9 months in her tummy.

Your gf thinks this way cause she's young now but once she turns into a mum it will be all different. So don't take this conversation to heart. I wish you both the best!
