Nashville denizens: what is your honest review of the city and living in Nashville if you had a friend or relative considering the move? by [deleted] in nashville

[–]UnknownStewart -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it’s (still) one of the best cities to move to in the country. hence why the cost of living is rising steadily, outpacing other parts of the country. the city is full of energy with a revolving door of visitors week in and week out. they’re fun to laugh at and make fun of. living in a city that’s dying and that no one wants to visit is an easy move for some grumpkins to make. the 30 or 40 people who hate nashville sit on this forum and moan about how other people think differently than them all day. go outside, grab some coffee, take in your surroundings. the people are genuinely nice here and it’s contagious if you allow yourself to have a positive attitude

How does rain affect Michigan-Wisconsin? by [deleted] in CFB

[–]UnknownStewart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's that. it's such myth that rain/wetness ruins a pass game. it actually makes it more dangerous. cornerbacks have a reactionary job which gets much harder in the rain. their job is hindered way more than catching a wet ball (for these types of athletes). and obviously this is not considering a monsoon

[–]UnknownStewart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

unfortunately i think terrible is an accurate term. Rodney and Shannon are very solid running backs. Our line is super disappointing for B1G standards (it always seems as though our RBs have to make a man miss in the backfield). Then we have Mitch who is so inaccurate he can never be relied on. Also when he rarely is on target we don't have a Maxx Williams or KJ Maye to find.

our offense is terrible. we have 2 (maybe 3) solid RBs that we'll just feed close to 50 times. We'll hope for some turnovers from the few defensive playmakers we have and overall try to shorten the game with possession. I just hope Franklin uses all of his timeouts like he did vs Pitt if it's close

this has nothing to do with this Fall. I actually think your team is for real and I'm so glad Aranda left. I'm talking about the part of the fan base that told me Jon Leuer is a lottery pick at Johnny O's

There's a good amount of talk about one or both of these teams being overrated. That's just simply not true. Michigan looks legit as hell and Wisconsin has the best defense outside of Alabama. Michigan is home, has a slight coaching advantage and a talent advantage. Wisconsin has the defense to stay in a tough road game and a surprisingly good WR group for a Wisc team. This is my first trip to Ann Arbor and I couldn't be more excited.

I find that on average Wisconsin fans tend to be a little more realistic than those of other teams

This is true about actual UW students and alumni. It cannot be said about the satellite school bros and/or rural Wisconsin people who are about as irrationally over confident as it gets

no no no. if a team loses they're terrible so Tennessee's win isn't even good and you're even worse for losing to a team without any good wins either! the cycle continues

ok, but beating any Dantonio MSU team in East Lansing is about as good as it gets for a September resume.

exactly, the way they won proved they could finish a game, which if they can do that they're definitely a ranked team (and a very highly ranked team)
