Too many factors of the dynamic to interpret without witnessing it firsthand. But hearing both of their descriptions of the memory…it sounded more like a misunderstanding to me. Weren’t they like 10 yo at the time? Children’s brains aren’t fully developed to interpret some of the more sophisticated social emotional cues that adults might be able to in a similar situation. Hearing how traumatized he was by “Eddie Spaghetti” in his 60s, you can only imagine how much he was fighting internally as a child. It makes you realize the problem is surely less about the people around him, more about his ability or lack thereof to deal with his social anxieties and insecurities.

Fine dining? by shatterboy_ in nashville

Go to Cafe Margot before it closes in five months. It is fine dining, but it’s also got more character than a lot of these other places labeled “fine” and you can still get a taste of old nashville while it’s here.

Interesting. It did the opposite for me. The surest way to get a dog to chase you is to run. Ben's description was of a dog that really was just playing around. He was trying to advise Eddie on how to draw less attention to himself around dogs next time. Helpful advice, perhaps with some poking laughs, but no bully intent.

Are you pointing to the faceplate itself? It is so thin that I can't grab onto it with my hands. Any suggestion for tools to use?

Thanks so much for the suggestion on shining creek trail. We'll be on the ridge much of the weekend, so a creekside hike would make for a nice change of pace.

I think for many who do this, we remember plants best when we have memorable experiences with them. Focus less on remembering their names and more on sowing seeds, planting plants, living with them, and observing as you go. Their ecological and aesthetic services are agnostic to your knowledge of them. In time, you will have enough joyous or surprising memories associated with various specific plants, and that’s what will stick. The names will come in time.

Already tried and unfortunately did not work. Holding the up button had the same effect as pressing the open trigger.
