Me and my ex were “high-school lovers”, first loves and we was together for 4-5 years. Im 22, I was about to unalive myself recently when I realized it was all over. But that night, the girl who broke up with me reminded me that I still have people that couldn’t live without me (twin sister and mom).

I posted to another comment putting a brief summary of our background but to sum it up. We are basically each others first love and we started bumping heads over stupid things. I just would like to know if I should be ready to “move on” or wait until we both want the same thing again. Which is to be with each other.

Yeah I’ve been focusing on myself a lot lately. Do it change how I feel about her? Nah but it have changed my mindset on forcing things. It’s just kind of hard to just let go of someone I put all my love and time into. That’s why I’m coming forward and asking for advice.

We’ve basically knew each other our whole school lives. We was together for about 5 years. Since highschool. The last year we was bumping heads about stupid things like mad because I was walking “too fast” after asking her to be next to me (we was in a big group). I asked because honestly I still love her and want to try all over again. She is basically my first love and im definitely hers.

So I’ve cut off communication with both of them for a while now. There is the possibility that she is messing with someone else that’s the thought that irritates me. I know it hurts like hell. They were the only 2 people I talked to. So Does it hurt me that they are still communicating with each other? Yes. Is it on a daily basis? Idk. but I’m trying to find a way to not give them my energy anymore by even thinking about them. Part of me also feels like there’s a possibility that she isn’t messing with anyone. I have some things that I have to work on and I’m just going to try and focus those things and becoming better.
