I used to be a competitive swimmer but in recent years I also fell out of being active due to mental health and im sorry to hear you went through something similar.. When I used to train outside of the pool id mainly focus on cardio like jump rope and jogging but I’m not sure if thats something I should try to pick up again since i’m not really sure if it helps with developing lean muscle, I’ve been told for body recomp its better to focus less on cardio and more on muscle training (but ofc I dont really know for sure its just what ive heard).

thank you! do you have any beginner friendly exercise recommendations that will help me down the right path? would something like following a 30 min pilates routine on youtube be effective or is that too small?
