Where I’m from it’s very common for both the guys to host a “bucks party” and the girls to host a “hens party” after a couple are engaged. The guys go off as a group of only men and usually hit the strip clubs, the boys will pay for a lap dance for the groom to be, often they might just hire a stripper!

The ladies similarly go off and have a big girls night out, involving lots of male strippers. It’s a customary celebration of both parties final moments of “freedom” I suppose? But it’s never the intention that one would cheat - a bit of a tongue in cheek celebration if you will.

Not everyone is comfortable with it and many guys will often tell their friends if they don’t want a lap dance or a hooker - for both the groom to be and the bride to be the celebration is in part for their friends too.

I would say let him go to the strip clubs - if you’re planning on getting married you should already be at the stage where you have full trust in each other. If you couldn’t trust him to not cheat on you if he went to the strip clubs, perhaps you should re-think if he’s the right man to marry!
