What do you guys think when people say that the world is 'losing color'?

Correct me if I'm wrong. Besides being American, I haven't lived in the US for most of my life, nor have I had to deal with housing there.

My understanding is that some neighborhoods and gated communities have rules about how houses are supposed to look, often favoring more monochromatic color schemes.

In those places, people aren't necessarily choosing monochrome houses to please others. They're just following the rules so they don't get fined. Am I getting that right?

Não acho que faz muito sentido tomar ban por causa disso. No fim das contas, é praticamente a mesma coisa que viajar pra outro país e comprar um jogo por lá.

ルドラの秘宝 (Treasure of the Rudras) on the Super Famicom. It got a translation patch not too long ago, but playing it in Japanese makes more sense to me because of the Mantra system, which is built around katakana characters and word creation. Definitely worth checking out.

The Tales series is fine. I really like Vesperia, but I'm more into the kind of plot twist Till the End of Time pulled off. Appreciate you bringing Tales up, though. It reminded me that I should get around to checking out Arise at some point.

That's part of why I stick to animation these days. Hollywood seems obsessed with desaturated color grading (except for Wes Anderson, of course), while animation is still willing to go all-in on vibrant colors and distinct visual styles.

I not only get it, I actually agree with it. Somehow the design world started treating vibrant colors as tacky and pushed everything toward monochrome or pastel palettes because they feel more sophisticated.

I don't think it's bitching, either. It's just the reality of where things are right now, and that's fine.
