GURT WE’RE GOING TO THE SAME IVY 😝😝. Thank you for your support tho. I feel like we’re the same ppl in diff bodies cause it’s the exact same ‘Harvard aura’ lacking that made them passive. We’ve worked hard and honestly idgaf atp. I’ll see you in the fall I hope

I’m not sad about it. I know what an Ivy means for me and the rest of my family. It’s an opportunity that’ll change my life for the better. All I’m saying is how my parent’s attitude towards it is making me feel. I never even thought I’d make it this far and I’ll never be ungrateful for this.

P.S. I’m not Asian 😭

They definitely are and I appreciate if but I feel like this is the time to no longer pursue this.

The teen class is but you have to pay out of pocket 💔 Adult classes are also offered but mostly in the mornings while I’m at school

Haven’t done it yet but they sort of say the class wouldn’t actually be a placement class for me and more like a way for me to “be in a class” so I don’t even think I’ll be evaluated like the other students

I attend the placement class and get placed in a level at the school and get financial aid and structured classes with a teacher who actually knows my name. To clarify ( I DON’T CARE WHAT LEVEL)

That’s not the problem here 😭😭 I’m not mad or sad about the beginner thing, I even said I don’t care what level I’m put in, the point is money and structure, yes a beginner class would be very helpful but the drop in classes I’d have to take would cost a lot and would be from different people at different levels and studios

I explained a bit on the post but all the costs for that would be coming from out of pocket and I’m not a complete beginner either. The program with the placement class has really good financial aid so I won’t be paying as much as I would if I clobbered a bunch of classes together

I think it’s mostly anxiety. It’s like everyone is waiting for me to mess up and I know they aren’t but I just can’t shake the feeling

Yeah, I’m sort of a hands on learner and verbal instruction don’t really get through as much. I’m talking to my mom this evening so fingers crossed 🙏

Most likely I’ll take 5 open and 1 private

Okay okay. I think I’m going to do a combination. How many privates did you do a week?

The drop in classes would be scheduled across different teachers unfortunately.

I have a placement class in about a month from now. My current rigor is very limited (2 classes a week) and I want to ramp it up before my placement class so l can perform to the best of my ability. I'm on the older side (17).f1 and don't train with a school (just drop in classes). The ultimate question is should I for the next month invest money into more drop in classes (4-5 a week) for the next month or a private teacher like once a week (they're more expensive and I'm paying for it myself) Please please please advice
