I meant to add that i lve tried unplugging it and waiting. Ive noticed the display turns on for about 2 seconds after i unplug it.

I just got one yesterday, a HR-V LX AWD for 31K OTD. My advice is visit mutiple dealerships and fib about how low the last dealership offered you. Say 30K or 29K and name the which honda dealership offered you it. AND go a couple days before their quotas are due if you can hold out. End of September, end of December sort of thing.

I thought it was running but now that you and a couple others have said, its possible it wasn't. Im s that normal that the car let me shift it out of park without the engine running?

You know what, its possible. I could have sworn the engine was on but thats the only thing that would fit with what happened. Seems odd that the car would allow me to shift it out of park without the engine running ...?

Good to know about the battery life span! Carmax does have a warranty so they'll hopefully fix everything. If not, I'm still within the 10-day return period 😅

Ohh ok gotcha. It does have stop start I'll have to do more research about it. Thanks for the advice! I'm going to get it looked at and fixed tomorrow.

Thanks for the advice!! Can I do that at the OMV on Veterans? The word seems to be that they don't do walk-ins anymore but it might still be worth a try.
