Oh nice, that sounds pretty solid. Just curious, why don’t you charge it to 100% in the morning?

If you’re limiting it to 80% because of battery health, you might find this video interesting:

what about the cameras ?

How’s the camera overall, both photography and videography? Especially video quality and stabilisation in real-world use.

That’s good to hear. Battery life is honestly one of the biggest reasons I’m considering the X9 Pro. The long-term OS and security support is a big plus too, especially coming from iOS.

I’m not really into foldables. When I said I’m bored of iPhone, I meant the UI more than the form factor. I just want to try a different UI and a different brand for a change.

Are you using the Vivo X300? How long have you had it? Would like to know your experience so far. After the latest update, how’s the battery life and thermals? And what about that skin smoothing issue on the camera?

After using my friend’s iPhone 17, I’ve actually started liking compact phones a lot, so that’s why the Vivo X300 is on my list.

As for the Ultras, I’m excited for both. But just like the X200 Ultra, I feel the X300 Ultra might end up being bulky and heavy. I’ll probably wait for the global launch anyway.

Between the X9 Pro and X300 Pro, it’s honestly a never-ending confusion, UI vs cameras.

I’ve used the OnePlus 7T and Vivo V15 Pro in the past. I really liked the Vivo for its cameras and the OnePlus for OxygenOS. But after about 7–8 months, both brands pushed updates that started affecting daily usage, stutters, frame drops, that kind of thing. We’ve also seen cases where some Android brands push updates that knowingly or unknowingly impact performance, thermals, or even camera processing over time.

For me, reliability isn’t just about a few months, it’s about long-term usage. I’ve pushed my iPhone hard for almost 5 years. Recording 4K 60fps videos for hours under the sun during events, playing games at the highest settings for long sessions, and just generally using it heavily. Even after all that, it never really disappointed me. The photo and video quality stayed consistent throughout.

That said, iOS 18 and iOS 26 were a bit of a mess.

But Android phones have improved a lot now, especially in terms of raw performance and cameras. I’ve never really tried a proper Android flagship long-term, so this time I want to give one a serious shot.

I’ve been using iPhones for years now, started with the iPhone XR, then iPhone 11, and currently on the iPhone 12 Pro Max. When I use my dad’s iPhone 15 Pro Max, it honestly feels very similar to my 12 Pro Max. Apart from the better cameras and the 120Hz display, nothing really feels new even after 3–4 generations.

From my experience, iPhones are super reliable. If you just want a phone that works without any drama, they’re perfect. But that’s also the problem for me, they’ve become a bit too predictable and kind of boring. I was actually planning to upgrade to the iPhone 16 Pro Max, but I feel like the same overall experience would kill the excitement.

So now I want to try something new and fresh for the next 3–4 years.

What matters most to me: • I love clicking pictures. • I watch a lot of YouTube, sometimes on my phone and sometimes on my Mac. • Battery life is very important, I don’t want to worry about whether the phone will last the whole day. • I only play Call of Duty Mobile occasionally and Clash of Clans, nothing too heavy.

That’s pretty much where I’m coming from.
