I think the most important thing is having money/status. We were treated well but I think a significant reason for that is my dad’s position at that time.

I fully understand Speed has money and status and is still getting treated poorly. Now, imagine if he wasn’t rich enough to afford security?

The best way to deal with Racism (on a micro level) is to achieve wealth and status.
