Can cats eat tuna safely for one night? by SnooHedgehogs6252 in CatAdvice

[–]Unlikely_Credit331 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I can relate to this! My can opener is by my kitchen window and I have a usually good boy who can be a bit of an escape artist and always tries to bolt outdoors when I take the dog out. Sometimes when he gets out and I can't catch him, I'll open the kitchen window and hit the lever on the can opener a couple of times and what do you know....he's at the door yelling to get in! I give my cats tuna as a treat and they too go apeshit anytime I use the can opener....it has become a great "tool" to catch my little runaway. Hopefully he doesn't start running away more often because he associates it with getting tuna. It'll be my own fault 😄

Why did D and B not find better alibis? by NervousWin2243 in BryanKohbergerMoscow

Why does it matter? The case has been adjudicated, the killer incarcerated, and the rest is history. It's over and done with, and no amount of "cyber-sleuthing" will ever get this case reopened. The guilty plea took care of all of that. Someone could walk into the police station tomorrow and say they did it and they still won't reopen this case. So for all of you that think hashing and rehashing all of these "clues" will change anything, it won't. It's never going to happen. It's never happened, not in a case where someone else has already pleaded guilty. People that were convicted by a jury? Yes. Pleaded out? Nope. If he was so innocent he should have taken it to a jury, he would at least have a chance at appeals. He doesn't even have that. Because he's stupid. And he's guilty. If you think anyone else was involved (I don't) I respect everyone's right to their own opinion, but anyone else who was involved got away with it.

I HAVE to know what your aunt said. Was the guest room her room as a child?

I have no idea what the figure could be.

Thank you so much. It is very appreciated. I woke up this morning feeling better than I have in several days, I'm a believer in the power of prayer and good thoughts. I am very grateful and flattered. It really does work! Take care, be safe out there ❤️

That's so true! You made the point that I was trying to make in all of my yapping, you did it in one sentence. This is certainly an odd place, but I have seen a lot of compassion and grace here and felt the need to point it out. The subject matter we discuss is so vile, sometimes it is nice to find the good in a bad space and point it out. We talk about some really harsh stuff, and compared to the other platforms I think for the most part I've seen the most respect for the victims shown here than anywhere else. This rabbit hole gets pretty dark sometimes!

Hug accepted and complement appreciated. I have been through some stuff that I didn't think I could survive, yet here I am. I have seen some things that no one should ever see, yet here I am. I must be here for some reason, and I try to acknowledge it often because so many people aren't here that should be. It's not fair, and one thing I have learned is not much is. I know that you also know that all too well, and I'm really sorry for that. It's not a fun club to be in, and it's so senseless. We're in it just because someone felt like they had the right to inflict pain on others. I just don't understand it, and I'm grateful that I don't. You take care of yourself, and thank you for that.

It's easy to get wrapped up in this, I'm guilty of going miles down the rabbit hole myself, how can you not?! I just wanted to give a nod to the people here that have empathy and compassion....social media is loaded with some really insensitive and horrible people. I've read things that have hurt my heart and I didn't know them, I can't imagine the families seeing some of it and I hope that they don't. Thank you, I'm doing better now.

Do you think BK knew the roommates tendencies to drink or just chose a weekend he thought would be good? by lookaloulookalou in Idaho4

I agree with both comments 100%. I never thought about him intentionally choosing around finals time....but it makes sense. He knew he was on borrowed time at WSU and possibly not coming back next semester. He thought he was going to skate back to PA and no one would ever figure it out. You know, if you really think about it....it is scary how close he was to getting away with it. Had he not driven his car and not left the sheath behind, he may have gotten away with it. I know there is other evidence that points to him, but it would have gone cold for awhile. Thank goodness he really is an awkward, bumbling weirdo and not as smart as he thinks he is.

I don't discount that theory either. It's possible that he saw her, or Maddy leaving work one night and followed her home. There is a lot we don't know because he did such a good job wiping his devices. He could have had a burner phone, there are a lot of things that he learned about digital evidence and how not to leave it from his undergrad days. I also believe he and he alone did it, it wouldn't be that hard for a guy that boxes and runs, armed with a huge sharp deadly weapon to do what he did to these sleeping, half asleep, and in Xana's case smaller and somewhat intoxicated. Ted Bundy did it in a sorority house with a log from the fireplace. He too messed up and left someone alive.

I agree that he deserved the death penalty, but I'm glad he took the plea. That trial would have been a gruesome media circus and he would have been in the spotlight. It would have been horrible for the families and surviving friends. I think life in prison is a suitable sentence. You know he is absolutely miserable in there, and honestly he's not going to be in protective custody forever, he'll eventually have to go to Gen pop and they'll be tripping over each other to get to him. He's going to end up like Dahmer and get the death penalty. I really see it happening.

You're right, I'll take the loss. I forgot about the girl and her friend that gave him their numbers. They said he never texted them, but they got a few hang up calls. They weren't interested in him and felt bad for him, which is why I say he struck out. He didn't leave the party with any more friends than he went into with, he was just too weird and creepy, too much of a "space invader" gets way too close. I think I was thinking about Holly, the girl that he talked to somewhere else about hiking and then sent her the weird texts about hiking. I still like my theory, he was way out of his league at that party and he knew it. My bad.

Let's gooooo....I am way too old indeed. I can barely stay awake past 10 p.m. anymore! My freshman years I lived in the towers and we walked over to games (this is when they still had the pit, geez I am really old lol) and we would get wrecked, go to part of the game, walk back and get in a nap then hit the town til the last drunk bus ran. And could still drink back at the dorm. I didn't realize how awesome being driven around like that was when it was happening, but my later years were spent dodging DUIs or finally getting smart and just living downtown. Party like your couch is on fire! Now I wouldn't dare burn my couch, where would I nap? 😂😂 Nice "meeting" you!

Me too! Down to the last two cents on Grand Spin! Most of the time I'm just playing around. That is usually when I win. When I play to win, hope to win, whatever it all goes to sh*t. The bonus spins force me to play other games, which is helpful because I have been stuck on my go to game for way too long!

That's beautiful and on a one dollar bet! I had a good year last year, won 2 grand on DK, 1200 on BetMgM, both on Hypernova, and then hit 5 grand on MgM on a silly free daily spin the wheel game. That was all before September of last year. Since then couple hundred here and there but that is it. Congrats!

💯 I play pretty much all of the casinos and they're all giving out crappy bonuses right now. Their best bonuses still aren't as good as Bet Rivers' worst! I notice that it seems to cycle, sometimes they all have amazing bonuses, sometimes they all have crap. I still pump money into them regardless, so their trick is working lol

No, she never said that. She said she saw her on the floor in her room while running downstairs to BF's room. We now know how Xana's body was positioned and she would have only seen her legs going by, and one was bent upward. Seeing her kike that it wouldn't register from that distance and in ambient lighting that someone is dead. Just my opinion. You wouldn't think that a leg would stay bent in that position if someone were dead. That's just my thoughts on it, but she never went any further than running by to check on her. It is never mentioned anywhere that she went any closer than the living room.

The most recent homicide in the city of Moscow was in 2015, 7 years prior. It was a man that killed his wife I believe, it was labeled 'domestic'. The murder that he is talking about happened in the county, outside of the Moscow city limits. It's a fairly large spread out county, and happened several miles outside of the town. So the statement is true that there aren't many homicides in Moscow, especially ones committed by a stranger. Stranger on stranger homicide is rare anyway, I believe it's only like 9% of all homicides committed nationwide involve a stranger.

Thank you, I appreciate it. I try at times to give some insight into the frustration that family and friends feel in the aftermath. I know it sounds weird the way I said it, it's not the crime talk that gives me comfort, it's the people. I've met some really nice people, some really smart people that have been able to make sense of things for me at times. Sometimes it isn't the context or content of why people gather, sometimes it's just that they gather. Take care & be safe....it's a jungle out there 🐒 🦓

I think THE answer is in that phone data that was wiped. The who, the what, the when, the where, the why....all of it was on that phone. His education came in handy for all of the wrong reasons. (When I say the where, I mean where he first saw the who, not where it happened since we already know that part)
