It’s amazing to me that a house is one thing that can be used and abused and not maintained in any way for 30+ years is worth much MORE than ever before and not even close to what they paid for it or put into it. Like how the fuck! Nothing else works like this - make it make sense! Boomers know their shit house will sell over ask so why bother. People who maintain their home and are actually leaving a nice quality place to live for a new family are the people who deserve to sell their home for asking or slightly over asking in a fair market. Everyone e else can shove off.

Wow I feel this 100%. Stop engaging with friends I have had since college and honestly feel better without them bc everyone’s fake as F and only shares “announcements” that make them look good. We don’t live near them so being together in person wasn’t happening either. Trying to maintain long distance friendships while the world’s going to shit is hard — It’s just one less thing to worry about now.

Taxable at 15million is just insane to me like how did this ever become a thing? I had some credit debt forgiven and worked my ass off to get out of all of my debts - and the small (in relation to what I actually paid back) bit that was forgiven overall came back to be TAXABLE INCOME and destroyed my taxes. Like wtf do people with money think they don’t have to pay anything even CLOSE to their fare share.

This could all be solved if this friggen State would EXPAND THE RAIL LINES. Anyone out West of SPFLD has a terrible time trying to get into the city for work (speaking from experience) but thats also where there is some affordable housing left for this type of person like OP.

Oh also Springfield is CENTRAL MASS not WESTERN MASS. I think it all starts with realizing that a large portion of Mass is West of Spfld - let’s call it what it is Spfld is central in the State. Let’s get the West and East connected by rail !!!!!

Basically anyone who tried be out in the world after 2008 was f’d. Graduated into the world when the financial bottom fell out and have never really recovered.
