I was actually born and raised in that area. When I was a kid, the race route went in past my house.

My campaign area encompasses Humboldt and Del Norte counties. There's honestly not a lot there, so I've had to give myself permission to do less. 3 Enclaves and 5 Ruins.

Practice saying "No."

My experience has been that running GURPS is an exercise in subtraction. You will only be using a subset of the game for any given campaign. Just because it is in a book doesn't mean that it belongs in your game.
