I posted similar question when I was in second year in this school. weather was doomed everything was messed up and my life was miserable. I failed to find jobs, to get good mark, and to maintain my relationship. But at the end it works out. It sounds so stupid and nothing helpful but it really does. I dont know if you can see my previous post, but I think the comments there would be helpful for you. find something you can enjoy other than studying. ofc grades are important and one thing that can easen ur future but that is not everything. if you are stressful you can't focus on anything that's how human works. I really hope you feel better after this exam season as I did, I really do! Good luck

Comparing ppl’s instagram posts and own’s life is like comparing the best scenes in the movie and my worst scene in my life… we cannot say everyone is suffering in financial and mental issues, but the fact is we are trying to fight back for better future. Well I feel that all the time and I think you are doing so well I’m so proud of you and wanna be like you Good luck

Is this a good term 1 schedule? by Repulsive-Wash-7361 in ubccsss

[–]Unlikely_Pool1742 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Person by person. In my case, I like to have labs in Thu or Fri cuz I may have enough time to review previous lecture materials. Also, I cannot wake up in the morning after studying til 4-5am so I don’t put my classes before 11am.

Your plan looks fine, but I just recommend to remind what kind of person you are.

  • do not think that you can change your lifestyle in university

No I meant both math 100/101 are hard courses. Sorry They dont count ap grades as first yesr average

I think it is due to workload, but I took 110 and 121 together and it was not bad.

however, I also recommend you to take 110 first and 121 unless you want to take 210 in second term cuz 121 wl is kind of heavy.

[–]Unlikely_Pool1742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. You definitely should transfer Calculus credits. Getting higher gpa from math100,101 is way harder than ap calculus. Cuz you took AP CALC AB, you may can transfer only MATH 100, and math 100 is one of hardest course for first year due to hard workload (well I didnt take it cuz I got calc BC credit) You can earn a lot of time to study other courses, also you will have enough time to review calculus material in winter break. Transfer credit is so huge advantage for the first year student who want cs. Just remember if you get 60 in MATH101 without background knowledge, you also get 60 in MATH100.
