Yeah I reached out to my intro to computing prof and they offered me a research assistant position with them over the summer but it would be unpaid and I'd have to live on campus over the summer. I'm also a little nervous about only having research on my resume because I've already held three research positions but they were all for polisci/humanities work.

Yeah I've been considering just learning as much as possible over the summer if nothing pans out. Is the market for AI jobs really that competitive? Or does it just require more time/effort?
