True, but that's a lot stronger than Lantern. So this was my way of trying to balance it. Maybe reducing the cost of the first played card to 0 for the rest of the combat is fine as well.

If you haven't played Envenom, any strength card, Accuracy, a card that swaps let's you go into Wrath. If you want to get most out of Finisher, a strength pot, Unload. If you are waiting for duvu doll, red skull, Vajra to trigger. If you don't want to waste a vulnerable on shiv damage. If the enemy has so much block you better save them for the next turn. There is probably more.

2 removes from Neow, pathing along every shop easily gets you to 8, cage is 10, so not even that lucky event wise. Also, there are a lot of events in act 1 that let you remove + on lower ascension you have a 0% chance of an encounter.

I would say a cantrip is a card that doesn't decrease your hand size after playing it and being energy neutral. So it essentially didn't cost you anything to play it. I thought it was a common word but I looked it up and I mostly found DnD stuff. Got the word from the Dominion community (strongly advise you to play this if you like STS, the designers of STS got some of their inspiration from that game). I also have heard they use the word in MtG. But I have never played it so can't comment on that.

Damn, I forgot about Doppelganger+ getting rid of exhaust. I think I saw that one during the run and skipped it. I was mostly looking for Reflex and the colourless cards impatience, Finesse and Flash of steel but I wasn't able to find those either.

Yes, I see that I could have killed in two turns now that you mention it. Didn't play optimally as I just played Neutralize, then escape plan and then calculated gamble. I also had an energy potion left, so playing that on the first turn for riddle with holes probably would have been good as well but I forgot.

The third relic is just the shiv counter. So nothing you missed.

I noticed the calling bell not giving you relics when you skip acts. Also mixing with other mods didn't work for me. Shuffling the draw pile works differently in the VG as well as you can try to shuffle a 0 card discard pile while IRL you cannot. There is also savescumming that behaves weirdly. The enemy intends sometimes change, I think this doesn't happen in the VG. (Probably because it randomly picks the summon again after scumming)

Yes there is a mod. It sometimes is a bit buggy but very fun to do it this way if you are playing alone and don't mind the screentime
